A friend of mine was so excited ordering from them as an original Authentic Mexican food and we went to pick the food up. The... lady was so generous kept adding more food for free while we were insisting on paying for the extras but she was super generous. We left the restaurant with a great vibe and a wonderful experience. Their original Mexican dishes are unmatched and we kepteating without stop until we finished the load of the food we bought. They are very good in their community and they donatelots of food. Super sweet people serving a great tasty food. I am totally hocked to that place from now on. Read more

Always been sad that so few good authentic Mexican places exist in NYC and was excited to find this amazing spot with delicious... Oaxacan food made with love. Worth the trip to the Bronx and we'll visit again soon. Read more

Because of the owners' involvement and activism surrounding immigration/politics - plus some of the articles that I had read... about La Morada's authentic Oaxacan cuisine - this restaurant had been bookmarked in my queue for quite some time. In searchingfor the perfect location for my Mexican Meetup group's December outing, this was the first venue that came to mind. Convenientlylocated about a five minute walk from the 6 train, La Morada offers its customers a full service meal served in a clean, relatively spacious, and bright environment. And, while I didn't find the service to be overly friendly or hospitable, it wascordial enough and very well paced. As a (somewhat pricey) addition to the delightful squeeze bottle trio filled with salsarojo, salsa verde, and crema, I ordered a $10 cup of the unique vegan white mole to sample (using crispy tortilla chips as myvessel). Undeniably voluptuous and creamy, I preferred the thick, warm sauce blended with the other salsas versus enjoying iton its own. While the albondigas (meatballs) lunch special rendered drier beef than I had hoped, the balls were served within ashallow pool of delicious salsa that I sopped up using the accompanying homemade corn tortillas. For me, the unequivocal star ofthe show was the chile relleno platter, which was accompanied by homemade corn tortillas (for burrito-making purposes!). Do notmiss this stick-to-your-ribs vegetarian entree (cheese-stuffed green chile that is breaded and fried and smothered with a chunkyred salsa) that is plated with creamy black beans and saffron rice. Excellent food and great/friendly service ! Decided to take the wife and some friends out and we all agreed that this place was... indeed a "win" ! The Bistec Ranchero was fantastic and everything (steak, cactus, cheese, etc) was grilled properly. Do nothesitate to stop at this "real" neighborhood spot. Read more

Best mexican food in the Bronx. Family owned place with friendly staff. You can customize any dish. Food is very fresh and has... the home (mom cooked) taste. You can definitely have any dish customized to your taste & the ingredients you want. I love to geta bean burrito with extra beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, & avocado. Absolutely delicious & made with love. My mostfavorite thing about the place is the home made sauces... Hot sauce, avocado/tomatillo sauce & sour cream sauce. They reallybring out the flavor of the food. Btw no Tabasco nonsense...which i think is a insult to hot sauces. Read more

Food was good. We had Tlayuda carnitas, Adobo chicken Sopes skirt steak, Mole Oaxaqueño Tlayudas is definitely a must. Carnitas... was fresh and tasty. Adobo sauce was very good chicken was overcooked cause seems it's precooked and not served to order samefor the pork ribs, they were just dry and order kind of small for a main entree (3 small ribs per order) Sopes were good but notrecommended if you are very hungry cause they are tiny sopes. Over all I think it's worth the trip but kind of expensive for aBronx joint. Service was good. Read more

This place is awesome. It’s a small hidden gem in the Bronx. It’s a family owned restaurant and it’s delicious authentic... Mexican cuisine. They deserve their Michelin recommendation. They make their own mole sauce which is very hard to find. I lovethis small local restaurant. The food is delicious and I felt like I was in Mexico while eating here. Read more
