If I'm pressed to pick my favorite burger, I prefer Smashburger to Five Guys, but that shouldn't suggest Five Guys pedals a sub... par burger. Far from it. And when I'm done shopping, this convenient location situated in an outdoor shopping mall right off theWhitestone Bridge, satisfies my burger needs every time. As locations go, this is one of the more moderately spaced sites I'veseen in terms of square footage. While the foot traffic always seems lacking, I suspect the real business comes during schoollunch hours (there's a school across the street). Since there's no waitstaff to speak of, I don't usually crack down on customerservice for places like this. I'm satisfied if the orders are correct and there's a minimum of courtesy and competence. In thisregard, this location has never failed. They also haven't failed in their signature food, the burgers. Tasty and scrumptiouseach time with fries that can be a bit spotty (sometimes they're dead-on crispy and soft, other times they can be soggy andgreasy). All in all, this is a fine location and the burgers they churn out have always hit the spot in terms of quality andconsistency. Read more
The food is good, fries are delish but one huge complaint are the prices reflected on the board are not the same as the receipt.... Everything is completely different. Seems they add the tax to the item purchased then tax again the entire order as well. Soundslike double dipping on taxes to me. Whomever is responsible for updating their board prices to be the same as what is chargedneeds to do their job so customers are not frustrated when they see the difference in what they pay. If you advertise a pricethat is what people should pay and not whatever their register rings up. This particular store has mixed service to me.Sometimes the customer service is superb while other times its not the greatest. Slow service. I ordered ahead and the estimate time was 5 to 10 minutes. I show up about 20 minutes later and my order pick up... is not ready, in fact they didn't even have fries ready so I was forced to sit and wait 20 minutes for fries when the point ifordering ahead was to avoid the wait. Good service crew but terrible price and not so good burger,. We were all disappointed with the taste of the burger, with the... price that I paid and the burgers don?t come with the drinks and fries,. Cheeseburgers 10 dollars a piece, fries 4 dollars,drinks 3 dollars, just Wow,. But we got our free peanuts which was the only good thing that we experienced oh and the milkshakewas good too. Let me share my expense nightmare of an order. All I ordered was a simple 2 burgers salty fries and a vanilla shake. You figure... $37 dollars later you would have everything I asked for. Let me stop there cause it's not about the money but about what couldhave been done as a paying customer, and what can happen from a $8.00 shake. I decided to cut my losses. Bring your wallet. 2 burgers, 2 fries, couple drinks 40+$. Eat in is sketchy at best. You can get what ever you want in your... burger so long as they charge. Burger+ cheese+ onions+ tomatoes+ bread+ lettuce it's a lot. Especially when Applebee's????????is across the lot and they have BURGER BEER SPECIALS. Covid created a line tho. You know what?s worse than cold fries, CONTAMINATED FRIES. One of the employees which is a old lady with a black shirt not sure... which position she?s in but definitely needs some training, as soon as I walk in to order I see her touch fries with her BAREHANDS????????????.
