We drove just over 1hr to try Chucks. What a waste of time, gas and money. Its incredibly loud in the restaurant. Food was... decently priced. The ribs look like Giant Tiger specials. I couldn't cut the meat with my steak knife or put my fork into it. Ithought I was hitting bone, but it was just rock hard meat. Waitress apologized and brought me a new one. Chicken was tasteless.Frozen French fries were the best part of our meal. And the best part of all is the "honest to goodness" fee added to your billwithout any warning. When we asked the waitress what it was she directed us to the drink menu which has a description on it,and she ran away before we could ask further questions. FYI, it's a tax applied to every bill, regardless of what you order, tocover the cost of the meat that they are under pricing on the menu. Never darkening the door again. Absolute joke of a meal. Waited approximately 15 minutes to be seated. Finally was able to call someone over & asked for a table. While we waited for a... server two more couples arrived separately and were seated. We watched while they in a 20 minute period got their drinks. I gotup & asked one of the servers if we could get a server to our table. At that point she had someone come & take our drink order.I ordered the garlic pan bread. It was tasteless and the texture was rubbery. I ordered the top sirloin steaK cooked medium. Itwas grizzly & dry. I had to get the attention of the server to ask if I could have some ketchup & steak sauce. However, at thistime she did offer to get us refills from the bar. The bill was quick in being brought to our table. When looking at it later Inoticed the honest to goodness fee. Very sneaky as there are no signs around to tell you about it. Read more

Had a fantastic dinner here, right from the start it was great. We were seated quickly and the person sitting us was very... friendly and funny and had a warm personality. Our waitress/server was Lauren I believe? was the best, very warm and andfriendly and very willing to give us advice aka to wait until 9 pm to be able to get 1/2 price appetizers. ( we have never beento Chucks and came from out of town) definitely would return to this location! Thanks for the great experience! Read more

I really like this place. We went there for the first time about a month ago and we're pleasantly surprised with the prices and... quality of food. Both my husband and I are steak lovers and it had been a good long while since we had had a properly cookedsteak; but the steaks we ordered were the correct temperature. The staff was very kind to us and our young children when we werethere. One lady - Lauren - even remembered my daughter's name and greeted her by it when we returned a second time. All in all,I like this restaurant. My family and I will be returning. The house barbecue sauce is excellent. Read more

Where to even begin with this one. Service left much to be desired. Waited for almost half an hour before our food order was... even taken so it took an hour to get our food, we arrived at 4:30 or so and weren't eating until 5:30. Waiting 30 minutes forthe food to be cooked isn't a problem, but sitting around for that same amount of time without having our orders taken is. Oncethe wait was over, it wasn't even very good. I asked for a medium steak, I received a charred, very well done steak with no pinkin it whatsoever. After the bill came there was an issue with 4$ beers from 11-5 not being honoured. Our drinks were receivedbefore 5:00PM, and it should be made more clear if the 11-5 $4 beer deal is at the point of order or point of purchase. Overallseverely disappointed. Service was poor, the food didn't come out as I had requested and there was an issue with a sale on beerthat only resolved because a waitress who did not even take our drink order paid in (maybe even in her tips) to make up thedifference, which feels entirely unfair to her as she wasn't responsible for the mishap. It should have been made clear to usthat we wouldn't receive the sale when we brought it up when we made our drink order, and a waitress shouldn't be paying in hertips for the mistake of another person. Hoping that I just got unlucky and came in on an off-day. Read more

One of the most frustrating experiences I?ve had at a restaurant. We had a party of 18 so naturally called a week ahead of time... to confirm a reservation and that a party of this size was possible. We booked in for 4:30 the following Saturday and arrived ontime, although it was clear from the way the greeter frantically consulted with the manager /scrambled to put tables togetherthat the staff were not informed. A half hour after our reservation, we were seated. Twenty minutes later our drinks came andorders were taken. We then proceeded to sit for a full two hours without food, or even a word of apology from the manager. WhenI asked a server if she knew how long the wait would be, she was clear they were hit with a rush. If a rush means you can?tserve a party for two whole hours, you shouldn?t accept the reservation. When the food finally arrived, my family and I askedfor our bill asap (we were with our toddler who was already going to be an hour late for bed now). This obviously greatlyannoyed our server, although I don?t see how asking for me bill after waiting for two hours and scarfing down my food so I canfinally leave is unreasonable. It was clear once we sat down they couldn?t care less about our experience. I understand rusheshappen but one acknowledgement from any staff member that we had indeed been waiting for two. whole. hours. would have gone along way to alleviating the frustration. At the very least, not being visibly annoyed would have been nice. The food was fine, but because of the service I would not go back or recommend it at all. Read more

Nice little place. The steak was good, well cooked. However the corn that was served with it wasn't fresh that much. All in all,... i think it's the best option to eat in that area among the higway. It was cosy and it has a diversify menu. Read more

The place was busy but everyone was drinking the beers were flowing so to say l had a seat in the corner of the bar, so I could... see what was going on service is incredibly slow I got there at just past 6 I wasn?t seeing anyone eating and I felt like a surfand turf. I went with a ginger ale as being tired wasn?t in the mood to have a beer. I?m actually sat there was able to do a lotof accounting and still no food had arrived it took just on 1 hour before I finally got to eat l wasn?t interested in stayingthere for the atmosphere it was noisy and as people our drinking there getting louder. What for me seemed strange is normally ifyour the bar man he or she stays at the bar to do the drinks but it really comes across especially here that the staff runaround like headless chickens other waitress and waiter they came over to the bar to collect drinks and stood in amazement thatno one was there then had to stop do there drink orders then off again. All in all a horrible experience I certainly want begoing back here. What I find strange is if your kitchen is slow then tell the customer that there will be a wait as while l wassat there I wasn?t seeing much food coming out of the kitchen for ages then it started slowly Read more
