For appetizers we started with the catfish bites; they where cooked just right and well seasoned. For entrees I had Mahi-mahi... off the grill which was cooked decently. The circular hush puppies were my favorite part of the dish? they were delicious (getsome of those to share!). The Coleslaw was good however the broccoli was definitely undercooked and lacking flavor. As forother entrees at the table someone ordered the whitefish and it was really good. I do have to touch on the fact that they wereout of 3 different side dishes which was disappointing. The staff was awesome and I would recommend you try them out. I was delighted when they told me that if I call them on Tuesday with a special request, they will check with their wholesaler... and let me know on Wednesday. The first time I did this, they didn't call back. Ok, nobody is perfect. So, I called them thefollowing Tuesday. Did not call me back again. I however, have a good memory and recalled that I had given this business a 5star review a year or so ago. So I deleted it and replaced it with this one. Read more
So I have tried this place a couple times just to give them another chance. We always get the crab leg dinner. Which isn't... cheap. The price goes up every time we go back. But one time we got home and opened our food and the hush puppies are alwaysburned and u hardly get any the crab legs was way over cooked some of them had no meat in them, I called and told them whathappened and they had no compassion and didn't care one bit! Very rude. I mean maybe if you go in and eat the food might bebetter since your sitting in there with them. But don't order out crab from them. It's not worth the price. Read more
I wanted to love it, I've heard good things about this restaurant. My husband and I tried it for the first time Saturday. ... My food was greasy and soggy. The hush puppies were very dry and unedible. We might try dining in next time to see if thefood is any better. Read more
My wife and I stop in on trips to and from New York from Georgia, visiting our daughter. We make it a point to stop by for lunch... either goin or coming. The food is fresh and fast. You get quantity and quality with any meal. The staff is outstanding andmakes you feel like family. The catfish and popcorn shrimp are our favorites. Looking forward to next year already !!! My first time visiting with my sister and my son. We're from Elizabethton and just in town shopping for the day. Looking for... somewhere besides fast food to grab lunch. Not being familiar with the locale, we thought we would have to pass it by because itseemed that all of the parking spaces were taken. So, I placed a call to ask how long of a wait they might have. The gentlemanwho answered the phone, actually came outside and directed us to a spot to park. Rain and all. I've never had an employee dosuch a thing. We came in, were quickly seated and our drinks were on the way. It smelled soooo good in there! We asked if theirtea was real, "southern" sweet tea? Our waitress replied yes, and boy was she right. Our order of fried green tomatoes wasabsolutely perfect! I don't think they could have been any better at all. We ended up having to get a second order and decidedthat we could have all made a whole meal out of them. See, and for anybody who's not a southerner, this is one good way to tellif the food is authentically Southern. The tea's got to be as sweet as a Georgia peach and the fried green tomatoes good enoughto fill up on! ???? Our meals were great, sooo fresh, affordable and our waitress was wonderful too! The best lobster bisque I've ever had. Very friendly local neighborhood market and restaurant. Clean as a whistle. Oysters as... good or better than Grand Central Oyster Bar in NYC. Read more
