Located right by the highway, great location with good views. There was a short wait time, but the service was very good. The... bartender/waitress was very attentive and friendly. The pizzas are absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked in the wood fire oven.We tried the Fire on the Mountain pizza and totally recommend it. The margaritas were only ok, the peach flavored one was thebest. I did not try the beers here, but I have heard that they are pretty good. Worth a visit, will be back here. Read more
What a great place! Friends introduced us for a 21st birthday party. They handled our loud (but not obnoxious) group of 20 with... ease. We made reservations in advance for a Sunday afternoon and had the whole barn section to ourselves. Our waitress wasAMAZING! She kept our drinks full and even went hunting for a candle so we could light candles on our homemade birthday cake!Portions were easily sharable and everything was DELICIOUS. The Reuben, buffalo wing dip, and fire mountain pizza were the bigwinners of our group! Would definitely go back again next time we are in the WVU/Fairmont area! Read more
We have to visit West Virginia often, specifically the Bridgeport area, and every time we do, we stop by Mountain State at least... once, sometimes more depending on how long our stay in town is. We have stopped in for lunch and for dinner and even close toclosing and the staff has always been kind and friendly to us. The pizza is good and they have quite a few drink options. Theyare not far from the main hotel area near the hospital. Always a good spot to stop in. Make sure ya grab a bumper sticker too. Read more
We sat at the bar and service was amazing! We both got flights. They have an amazing selection! Menu had lots of options, and we... ended up getting the veggie flatbread but with pesto instead of the regular marinara. We also got a couple of apps since theywere half-price for happy hour. Food was incredible, bartender was incredible, beers were incredible... even the view and sunsetwere incredible.
