I was thrilled with the service I received today at Franzone's Bridgeport. I had a large cheese pizza and breaded wings(by... recommendation), super delicious! I also picked up a 2 liter coke and 2 bags of chips. So, the big sign isn't up outside any more...but it makes it seem like a secret place - that or we went in the back door.... Anyways, this place is really good and really unique! The sweet sauce on the pizza is definitely different, but good. Weordered two pepperoni pizzas to share between two adults and 6 kids - it was more than enough. We also ordered a cheesesteak andfries with gravy (added mozzarella to make poutine) which were also both excellent. What pushed thia place over the top for mewas it's drink selection (its like a big mini bar in the chillers up front!) and the fact that when our youngest spilled anentire soda on the table and we started cleaning it up, the waitress was calm, helped us out, and reassured her that it wasokay. First time trying Franzones and it was great. We are regulars of Little Sicily in Bridgeport but a friend recommended Franzones.... We picked up a couple pizza while we were out that way. The pizzas were really good. Plenty of cheese which was delicious. Theirmushrooms tasted fresh snd they were under the cheese. Overall it was a really good pizza. We will 100% be back. Read more
Hands-down my favorite pizza. The sweet sauce is amazing and the ratio of cheese to sauce is just perfect every time. Every time... I'm in town I make sure I hit this spot. Oh, and their hot wings are delicious too. 10/10 would recommend. Read more
Ás always never a bad pizza! For at least the last 30 years I have enjoyed this amazing pizza and family. My children's... birthday parties and now that I moved away stopping in when going anywhere near Bridgeport! I large pizza lightly well done. I stopped in for a bite to eat being I had not eaten all day It's not the 1st time that I've been to Franzone's It's really a... treat for me whenever I'm in the vicinity it's truly the original flavor sauce and unique taste that I love no matter whetherIm popping in for a quick take out eat on the go or I decide to sit down and eat It's a nice easy casual environment and coolplace to do so and needless to say the pizza is absolutely delicious and my favorite menu Item...... I don?t like to leave pizza reviews since people have different taste in pizza. But I think this place deserves a review since... they make what you ask for. Sunday Oct 17th 8 PM. We called and ordered a thin crust pizza, will done. I know for sure that it?snot that easy to get a thin crust right, and get the pie crispy without burning it. But they did it right, it was one of thebest pizzas I?ve ever had in my life, and trust me, I try every pizza place when I go anywhere. Yes the sauce is sweet, but notextra sweet, it?s the right balance, specially that tomato sauce loses it?s sweetness when cooked. I really like the pizza here. The sauce is on the sweeter side, the crust is delicious, and they use a perfect ratio of sauce to... cheese. This has to be one of my favorite local places to eat pizza. I have had both take out and dine in - its best to eat itwhen its hot. The wings and salads here are okay but the pizza is great. I recommend getting a plain or pepperoni pie. I got achicken parm one recently but there was not much chicken on it. I think that they do the classics really well. When I want aplain or pepperoni pie - i will order it from here. Read more
