All in all, the service from our lovely server, Robert was great he earned the stars). He did a wonderful job being attentive... and giving us everything we needed during our meal. My qualm is that the appetizers, the baked clams ($18) and carpaccio ($18)were subpar. I had expected more flavor and attention to detail. The baked clams were burnt and mixed together as if the clammeat wasn’t a comprehensive part of the dish. For my entree, the surf and turf (lobster tail[$68]) was over-cooked and notwell presented. The Filet was charred on the outside and over cooked on the inside, dry but seasoned well. At the end of ourmeal, our bill was presented with a surcharge for using credit card with no ATM available in the restaurant. I understood ourserver was not to blame for this but as a customer paying for a nice meal, I did not expect to see this surcharge. As a regularpatron in New York City restaurants, this surcharge came as a surprise considering the pamphlets presented ~after~ questioning about general business law 518 regarding the surcharge. It was a warm fall night yesterday, and we dined outside under the heat lamps. We enjoyed the mussels, and absolutely loved... their Asian chicken salad, which is now a new favorite from their large menu. Bobby Vans is our favorite restaurant inBridgehampton as the food is consistently good and they always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Read more

Had a lovely afternoon cocktail with the best bartender on L.I. George was an absolute doll and if I didn't already have evening... plans, I would've stayed there all evening. I have been to BV's in the city many times, but this was my first visit to the"original" location and couldn't be more pleased. Read more
The clams appetizers are perfect. The bone in sirloin is beyond perfect! Also delicious steak salad. Great service. Great... bar. Typical casual Hamptons atmosphere. Gets busy in season so make a reservation. Read more
