This mom n pop sushi shop delivers. The chef came out to say the poké is Japanese style, which we thoroughly enjoyed (try the... volcano on wasabi). Chicken teriyaki was one of the few entrées but pretty good. The rolls were fresh and delicious. We weretold fresh fish is picked up every Monday from a Japanese fish market in Denver. AMAZING Japanese food. Beats many fancy Japanese restaurants in Chicago and New York. Affordable and authentic food prepared by... a kind elderly Japanese couple. The miso soup is hearty and flavorful?you can really tell it?s based on home-steeped bonitobroth and kombu broth. We ordered the botan ebi (sweet shrimp nigiri), and the owner very kindly deep-fried the shrimp heads,tempura-style, for us. This extra touch really shows how thoughtful they are; usually when I order botan ebi at other places,they just bring the shrimp and leave the head on as it is. Read more

Excellent view, wonderful Japanese chef owners, we had appetizers, sushi, and teriyaki salmon. Wine bottles were very... affordable! Everything was very good. Natasha was our server and also serves as hostess. How she handled everything soimpeccably by herself was remarkable. Read more
We had a wonderful time at Wasabi! Our chef and waitress went out of their way to make my son?s birthday so fun! The waitress... was helpful, so sweet and brought a dessert with a candle for my son! The chef sat down with us and taught us how to use ourchopsticks (when my son asked about it). They are precious people and the food is delicious!!! Thanks for everything!!! Read more
Mari and Hiro San make the best Japanese food. Traditional Japanese calamari steak in a lite tempura batter is amazing. Not on... menu but ask for it. Volcano and Jalapeno lunch bowl with the best sushi grade tuna in town. All the bad reviews are nonsense,don't be rude and just talk to Mari if something is wrong. They'll fix it. Read more
Let me start by saying the sushi is so fresh and flavorful! All sauces are home made and delicious. Location is in this... semi-indoor ?mall? area that you can?t see from the Main Street so you have to know to go in it to find it. This place is tinyand so authentic, my husband feels it reminds him of the real Japanese places overseas. There?s probably only 8-10 tables totaland it?s an extremely casual place where many of the people just talk to each other from table to table. Service is definitelynot like Texas customer service (I type this while laughing) and extremely laid back and very dry. Locals seem to go here butthey are very nice to visitors too. The sushi comes out on one plate for the table and it?s just so delicious! I highlyrecommend if you are looking for a super casual and laid back sushi joint. Read more
