This is our to go spot when we are in town. So we were especially excited to see that they have a new menu and a new chef! We... loved all the new appetizers, especially the shrimp ceviche, Asian inspired Brussels, and the frito misto (finally friedcalamari with tentacles!!). The menu kept some of the staple dishes that we love like the charcuterie plate, wings, and burger.And as always, Eric went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care off with drinks. We had a wonderful evening and dinner. First, the food was delicious. We had the Elk Tenderloin (pictured) among other great... dishes. secondly, Our servers were very friendly and went well above and beyond. In a recent stay at the Lodge we decided to have dinner at Traverse - and we were blown away. One of the specials that evening... was authentic German pork schnitzel and it may have well been one of the best meals I've had in years. Every bite was a delightand the whole plate was perfectly combined. It was so memorable that we had to return the next night and have it again. Thestaff was attentive and personable and the house cocktails helped cap off a perfect dinner. Finally, if you get there beforedark, you will be treated to some of the best dining views in town! We had a wonderful dinner here and the view was beautiful. There was a wedding going on so we didn't get to go to the main deck,... but the side deck was still great and they served us our cocktails there before seating us for dinner. Everything we orderedwas so good and I highly recommend the scallops, cooked to perfection and great arrangement of flavors. They ended up being outof the dessert special that we wanted and then also our second choice so the waiter went above and beyond and comped us a freedessert and our scallops. All of the staff was really friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely make the drive to go backagain. Read more
