Reviews for Waxy O'Shea's Irish Pub in Branson, MO
I got the bangers and mash...the gravy was a disappointment, just tasted like regular brown gravy. Needed alot more flavor. The... rest of the dish was great tho. I ordered bread pudding to go (regular) and it was soooooo good! One of the best I've had in arestaurant. Compliments to the chef! Do not miss this! ? Read more

Waxy's is the place to go when in Branson, MO! ???????????????????? The pub is centrally located along the waterfront parkway... (where all the great shops are located) and old town Branson. There is plenty of parking on either end of the strip, but theBass Pro has a HUGE parking lot with a great view of the lake/river only a few feet away... ducks, geese, fishing and a milelong paved walking path. Waxy O'Shea's Irish Pub The food at Waxy is absolutely worth the visit! This time I had a Stellabeer and Shepherd's Pie, which is one of my favorite combo's.... yum yum. ???????????????????? See you here soon!!! Read more
I don't know what the deal was today, but the food and drinks were just not it this time. I've always appreciated the service I... get here, whether we seat ourselves or have to be seated, but the service is still great. Sadly, the food and drinks I got werenot great. The Scotch eggs were a bit smaller but still good in flavor. However, whatever they are doing to the beer cheesesoup, they need to either quit or revamp/ get rid of the soup. Salt, salt, seasoning, on top of salt. This has happened twicenow where the soup was advertly salty and just can't taste anything. I think the first time I noticed a change, is that theyhad a sweet bread/cake with it, which isn't something I like but my partner loved it. Not this time and it was just too muchsalt and we had to send it back. Secondly, while my Snakebite drink was amazing, the Bloody Mary was just lacking. I'm not sureif it's just a change in the liquor or whoever the bartender was, but it was severely heavy handed with the vodka and very leanin the other parts of the mix. Plus, it took me asking a waiter twice to figure out where it was after 10 minutes of waitingwith only a few people at the bar and not that busy inside. I'm sorry guys, this visit was not good at all. Read more
My family and I make the trip from Texas to Branson at least once a year. This is actually our second visit to Waxy O'Shea's. I... base my reviews on my visit then. Our fist visit last was great. This visit was a little different. We walk in and there was asign that said "seat yourself" or something to that nature. So we find a seat and it takes a while for the waitstaff to come byand ask us what we want to drink. But she was accommodating about getting my brother n law a sample of corned beef as he hadnever had it. My last visit I had ordered the fish and chips. I really enjoyed it the last time and it had been a while since Ihad had it, so I ordered it again. as did my five year old. When it came to the table ( which was one plate at a time) it lookedlike the photo below as did my sons. It was so over cooked. The outside was burned and the inside was rubbery and very greasy. From my viewpoint it looked like they refried cold fish. It was so unappetizing I could only get through a few bites and my sondidn't eat his at all. My wife's curry and chips was good. We didn't return it or anything because by the time I would have gotit back everyone would have been done. I think after this visit we might have to consider not returning. I would maybeunderstand a little (maybe?) if they were just so slammed with customers. But there was just a few tables with people. Sothere's zero excuse for this. Read more
This is a lovely spot in Branson Landing. If you sit outside, there are umbrella covered tables with a lovely view of the... fountains. The menu is appropriately limited. My turkey herb croissant was very good with melted cheese and bacon. The toppingswere on the side, which I prefer. The garlic aioli was also on the side and was excellent. The fries were greasy but enjoyable. The sodas also come in very large cups so you won't constantly wait on a refill. Overall it was definitely worth it to come herefor sure. Read more
Not a local but would consider myself a semi-regular guest! I try to come every time I am in town. The food is great. The... location and atmosphere is top notch. I highly recommend the eggs on the appetizer menu and also the bangers and mash. Not a fanof the curry chicken. Overall 5 stars for sure. Read more
A fun place typical of an Irish bar and restaurant. A good amount of TVs which was important as I came to not only eat and drink... but watch the US soccer team in the World Cup on their big screen TV. The beer cheese soup was awesome. The vegetarian boxty wassurprisingly savory. And of course who can go wrong with a pint of Guinness or two? Service was not pushy but was prompt andfriendly. Read more
