On vacation my husband decided we should have the kids try a new cuisine and chose to have dinner at India Clay Oven. This... turned out to be a magnificent decision! The kids LOVED the food as much as we did. We are 4 who travelled to Branson on long weekend. Usually we try Indian dishes if we go out on a trip. Looking at the reviews... [4.4], we visited the restaurant in the afternoon for lunch. But they told the wait time is 40 minutes. As we are hungry wethought of visiting for the dinner and we did the same. Then we waited for 1 hour [ such a long queue] for the dinner. Finallywe ordered with lot of expectations. A starter was costing 25$, but the quantity doesn't even worth 12$. The food is awful,qualities are below standards, prices are expensive. Especially, chicken and lamb biryani are even worst. We were extremelydisappointed with food, staff and the owner. For 4 people we have spent 105$, Owner has forced us to add the tip but we didn't.I suggest not go with the reviews as we did. Even if you are hungry order one and then go for the rest. This is our second time here and it was just as amazing as the first. The staff are wonderful and attentive. The food speaks... for itself. We drove 1 hour and 20 mins just to eat here again. Since discovering India Clay Oven on a trip seven years ago we always make sure to dine here at least once on every visit to... Branson, often our first stop! I?ve had great Indian food all over the U.S. and Canada but this is the best I?ve had anywhere.The curry is complex and deep, the tandoori flavorful and moist. Not a single item has disappointed and service is on point. Allof this with some of the largest portion sizes for the menu items and also a great buffet at times make this a Indian foodiesdream or the perfect introduction to Indian cuisine for the uninitiated. I?ve never been to India but I?ve been to a couple restaurants and this is my favorite so far. I?m always so happy to come eat... here, it?s sooo good you guys. I know some people are saying it?s not authentic but regardless it?s really yummy and It?s goodquality food (: You can smell the delicious aroma of the spices the moment you park outside! First time ever trying India cuisine!! Loved ???? it!!! It started with a warm reception at the door, to the waiters being so... kind, to the price of the food!! We tried a lamb dish, a chicken dish, and the fried cauliflower!!! It was all so good!! Meatwas tender and lean, rice cooked perfectly, and the coffee was superb!!
