Ordered a NY Strip, mashed potatoes and broccoli, with a milk shake to wash it down. Food was delivered hot, steak was cooked... perfect (medium how I asked it for) potatoes were perfect oh and the salad was loaded not just some skimpy pieces oflettuce. This was a gem of a find. Visited for brunch and loved it from the moment we entered. Of all the diners we visited on our 3 week... trip around the New England states this was our favourite. Doing a reset so I get to be lazy today. There?s a diner across the street from the truck stop(which only has Popeyes and... Starbucks) so I decided to walk across for a good breakfast well it turned out to be an awesome breakfast with a few surprises.Surprise #1 they have grits on the menu. Surprise #2 they?re not instant grits they?re the real thing(cooked in a pot not themicrowave). Of course some of you may ask why those two things are surprising well the answer is simple I?m in Connecticut wherejust finding grits on the menu is rare and then to find that they actually know how to cook them without using instant grits iseven rarer. The fluffiest french toast I?ve ever had topped with Nutella was amazing. The eggs were cooked perfectly to myliking as was the bacon, the sausage and ham were delicious. Service and atmosphere were on point. I really can?t say enoughnice things about this place. They were somewhat busy but the food was still delivered in a timely manner and still hot. The menu was huge. My Philly bread was crispy ???? the fries clearly deep fried to perfect. The gyro was delicious. The waitress... was polite and attentive. Love the decorations of the restaurant. It's walking distance from the truck stop which is awesome.The price was super fair. They played hit music from the radio which when usher came on I almost had to get up and pop lock ndrop it. Funny story when another worker walked by he asked how we where doing and I said delicious of course assuming he wouldask how's the food ????. OMG! I am highly impressed with the food, it is spectacular. Very clean restrooms, dining area, and kitchen. This will be a... must stop every time I am passing through. It was our waitresses birthday today and she was ???? awesome. She recommended theSole and it was the bomb, it came with homemade soup fresh steamed broccoli, baked potato and pudding homemade it all was sodelicious ????. The boss is very helpful and friendly, and made our visit special. All the cakes and desserts are homemade.Online food orders and outside delivery service delivers. Read more
Would definitely recommend. Wide range of foods and great customer service from my experience. Across the street from the T.A.... if you're a trucker! Worth it. Also they have stuffed grape leaves which I love!!! The cold kind if you like them too or wantingto try. Read more
I was at this diner for the first time the other day. I ordered a steak. I told the lady who took my order that I wanted it... rare. The steak came out raw and she watched them cook it and had a feeling it was raw before I even tried to cut into it. Theowner comes out and asks me how I want the steak so I told him medium rare. I told them medium rare this time because clearlythey don't know what a rare steak and cant get that right. The owner sends the waitress home and I went back there andquestioned why they were sending the lady home. I changed how I wanted the steak because the cook clearly could not get it rightand I would just settle for anything a little more cooked just so I can eat it.. When I questioned why she was being sent home Iwas told "this is my restaurant" blah blah so I told him "if shes leaving then so am I" and he said go ahead. Never coming backhere. Learn how to treat your staff. She was so nice. I hope she did not lose her job. Read more
