Reviews for Nellie's in Branford, CT
It's just okay. Good drinks and ok food. The interior is warm and welcoming. Literally warm. Air conditioning in August would be... nice. Taco portions are small; not worth the asking price. The clams and linguini (white) was basic. Our server, Brian, wasfantastic. Read more
This is a really nice restaurant for dining by the water. They have a creative menu with vegan options. I think the people that... are leaving bad reviews are like my mom and are not willing to be open minded about a more gourmet kind of menu. The prices aregood and the atmosphere by the water is relaxing. Read more
Cute place. Hidden (literally) gem in Branford. Outdoor patio on the water. Small indoor dining area. Good cocktails, nice... brunch menu... Eggs, burgers, salads, fish, gluten free options. Will definitely be back. Read more
Location: tremendous Interior: chic Food: delicious Speed: quick Portions: not the biggest Gluten free labeling: off the... charts I went here a few years ago and it?s done a complete 360 (for the better). The building looks nicer, the service isquicker, the food is better - try this place again if you?ve written it off. Plus, you can?t beat the location on the water! Read more
Very nice spot, right on the Branford River with lovely sunset views. Strong drinks and nice raw bar. We had mussels and fries... and a broiled fish dish. Well prepared and seasoned. All the dishes on the Menu sounded appealing including the fish tacos, lobster rolls, and steak tips. The service was excellent. With all the seafood stops in Branford, this is definitely a placeto visit. And don?t forget to tie your boat at the local dock!!! Read more

We didn?t realize that Nellie?s changed hands and thought that once we were already there we would give it a try. The outside... atmosphere was a big draw on a beautiful sunny day since we wanted to sit near the water. The menu is very limited and theservice leaves a lot to be desired. The food tastes like they microwave frozen dinners and then serve them to the customer. Theportions are tiny and the prices are high. It will be interesting to see how long they can fool the customer and stay inbusiness. Sorry to say this new place is truly a complete waste of money and definitely not worth the trip! Read more
A fairly small restaurant, on the water. There was a guy playing guitar and singing, which was nice, but not what our group of... co-workers was looking for. The food was really good. Our server was appropriately attentive. I will go back. Read more
