So disappointing ????. I saw the mix reviews but decided to try it for myself. The chicken looked 3 days old, dry and tasted as... if it was baked without any type of seasoning. The ribs tasted as if it was prepared at home as well. The brisket was moist.However, no seasoning at all!!! I could not eat a full fork of the potato salad. The baked beans were good to dipped the brisketin for flavor. Overall, just very disappointed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I went there on Saturday just before mother's day. I wanted pulled pork. This was my first visit ever. I checked out the outside... appearance of the establishment first. The windows and doors were smudged. When I walked in the guy at the register did not havehis mask covering his nose so I didn't have a problem asking him to do so especially since I work for the Health Department. Hecomplied. Then I placed my order. The aroma of barbecue smelled great but then I looked at the workers in the back and everyoneback there cooking were improperly mask. This was my first visit to this establishment. The wait was not long and the service was decent. Prices about average? I... consider it disappointing that they can run out of cabbage/greens/yams before closing. Tried both the pork ribs (St Louis style)and beef ribs, and both shined on their own merits; I was extremely impressed with both. The green beans tasted fresh. The Macand cheese was just ok; I think it is missing something to better homogenize the cheese/pasta ratio, and I think a better cheeseshould be used that doesn?t come out so flavorless in the end product. The BBQ really shined here and satisfied my craving. Iintend to come here again, but definitely at an earlier time of day. I will mention that there was a good deal of activity goingon out front on a Saturday night. By that I mean people posted up who are not an obvious patron to any specific business. Astranger approached my vehicle waving money and possibly trying to buy something, he looked strung out. I?m not sure if this isthe norm as I remember Brandywine being a quiet kinda rural area? This place is under new ownership/management and the food is very disappointing. Ribs have no smokey flavor but instead taste... like they were cooked in the oven. The spicy sausage was not spicy but instead tasted like it came from the grocery store. Ishould have known it was under new management when I didn?t see the previous owner the last few visits. He was a very nice manand the food tasted like authentic Texas bbq. I?m sure if the previous owner knew they were selling this low quality food he?dbe upset. Definitely won?t be back! Read more

One star is being generous! This place must have new owners/chefs! We have not been for over a year and man was our recent... experience beyond DISAPPOINTING! Our order consisted of beef brisket with potato salad and collard greens, ribs, friedchicken with yams and baked beans and a side of Mac n cheese! The potato salad was definitely store bought and the collardstasted and looked like they were from a can. The yams and baked beans were from a can too and had zero flavor! Beef brisketwas good, fried chicken was bland, but fried well and the ribs were ok at best! The Mac n cheese was TERRIBLE and we literallythrew away 90% of the meal. Oh, I forgot to mention the corn bread....looked gummy and undercooked so after our experience withthe other food we didn?t even bother to try it! The portion sizes were horrible for the price, $40 wasted! Needless to say wewill not be back and you should not go either! I am sure there are new people running the restaurant because our recentexperience was not the same as the others. Read more

Came in from out of town, we wanted to go to The Crab Boss but it was closed....on a darn Tuesday, so we sat in the parking lot... trying to figure out what else we wanted to eat and I looked up and saw this restaurant, so we tried it out and the food wasdelicious, the Mac N cheese needs a little more flavor but overall it was good.
