Reviews for B & G Milkyway in Brandon, SD
Food is overpriced for quality. However the ice cream is worth the price
Best ice cream staff is amazing!
I don?t understand the hype. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and it was just a big cup of vanilla soft serve with mediocre... flavor of vanilla, it tasted mostly like bland - if bland was a flavor. I asked the cashier if this was a chocolate milkshakeand she said, ?I think so? and she looked at it and literally just said ?sorry? as she stared at it blankly ????. No offer tore-do it or fix it. Just stared at it and moved on to the next customer. Also I asked what was the best hot food item and theperson said the chicken nuggets. I think they?re just Great Value chicken nuggets from Walmart or Sam?s Club but way more money????. Read more
Ice cream is yummy! Line was long but moved quickly.
Wasn't happy with the fact that B & G overcharges $2.25 for the "Doggie Sundae" which is just a squirt of ice cream with 2... biscuits. It is not worth the value. You'll get a better value for your dollar ordering a small cup of vanilla Read more
Overpriced. I was excited to take my wife here after a few years of being away and was let down. We got the super nachos and a... waffle cone. The cone had so little ice cream in it you couldn't even see it over the waffle and the nachos would have beenbetter from a gas station for half the price. Higher quality or cheaper prices is needed. B&G is the best! Service is great, ice cream flavor combos are endless, the food is exactly what you would expect from a long... time small town dairy treat shop. Cheese balls, chicken strips and french fries -all perfectly fried with golden goodness. Themalts are reminiscent of the old time malt/shake shops. My favorite item (that is only a blip on the full menu) is the E.T.avalanche, definitely a must on a hot summer night. Read more
This place is no better than the worst Dairy Queen. Why 2 stars? Well, it was ice cream. Basics like hot fudge sundaes are hard... to screw up. So that?s worth 2 stars on its own. But if you ask them to do anything more than that, like ordering a chocolatemalt from the menu, you?ll get what I got: pure ice cream with chunks of malted milk powder like a minefield, served with aspoon instead of a straw (????) Also pictured: the size disparity between a large malt/shake and a medium(!) sundae. It lookslike they?re missing about 18 sizes in between the medium and large for different desserts just because of the packaging theychoose. I realize the cost difference between a medium sundae and a large malt, but it?s not even close to the same $ per unitof ice cream if you break it down. Tl;dr just go to Dairy Queen or get a quart of ice cream from the grocery store Read more
