Just went into the restaurant for some soup and appetizers and they did not disappoint us. The menu was on website and would be... nice if they add pics to each items. I was so keen in ordering Chicken Sizzler but not sure how it will be I went with my usual.Ordered Chicken Corn soup and Manchow Soup one serving with Chicken Pakoda. For iftar, I decided to visit this highly recommended Halal Hakka restaurant for the first time. My friend & I were acknowledged... right away & seated at a spacious booth by choice since it wasn?t too busy (7:45p). We started with a small egg corn soup whichwas perfect for only 2 people - I?d recommend putting in all 3 flavours of: green chilli with vinegar, red chilli sauce & soyasauce for that extra kick! We then had fish pakoras with a green sweet & spicy chutney which really complimented the deliciouspakoras! Each pakora was pretty big; had to cut them in half to cool them down. We finished with chicken 65 & a small steamedrice; again, the perfect portion for 2 people. The staff was extremely helpful clarifying the food items, friendly & keptchecking in with us throughout our dinner which I greatly appreciated. Been planning to come here for 2 years, finally came in with full family for dinner. Pro first: servers are sweet, the young... guys are probably students are well behaved. Decor is chic, we sat on the patio, furniture is good.. overall good looking. Picscame out great! Cons now: food. We ordered chicken sweet corn soup - sweetest soup I?ve ever had. Like syrup sweet. Then camethe mono- RC special. Stay away from this. It?s basically vindaloo chutney on momo. Individually you may like them, but togetherthey?re atrocious. Worst momo ever. Costco frozen potstickers taste better. Then the fish pakoras. Looks nothing like thepictures that?s true for all their food. It?s basically amritsari fish pakoras at Indian Frootland, served in a pub basket. Welike those, but that?s not why we paid for this dining exp. Oh and finally, rice noodles. Which is basically Singapore noodles,so yellow, with cabbage sticks as garnish. Hah. We?re not coming back for food. But they had beer on tap so maybe come forambience. But food? God no. Quiet Wednesday evening. Food quantity huge . Quality so so. Good suggestion regarding Dragon chicken. Service good but could... be better. Server could remove more time on the table to cater more to the needs of the customer. No drinks offered at all. Hadto call another server to ask for them. But that's OK. Overall experience average. I love this place!! The food is absolutely delicious. So worth going. I've dinned in and got take out and always enjoyed the... food. Staff is also very nice and knowledgeable. I went when there was a server being trained and the trainer was very patientand kind to the new server. I like seeing how the staff interacts with each other because it shows they care. If they care, itwill reflect in the service. Great job everyone!! Also, it's worth paying a tad extra for a bigger glass of draft beer. Read more

Food is good. Service is good. I'm just confused/disappointed about going to a Chinese restaurant but feel like I walked into... India. Indian Ice cream fridge right as you walk in, Indian music videos and music playing on tv/speakers. Would preferrestaurants keeping one theme. I have to wonder is this for the customer experience or the staff? Edit: Thank you forresponding and educating me. Always open to learning new things.
