It's a bar/restaurant in a hotel...they have good food and service...several TV screens.... but if your looking for a quiet... place to eat and talk it's not for you... Read more
The food here was pretty good. I ordered the German sampler meal, like $20. Had 3 types of meat, Sauerkraut, diced potatoes, and... then some kind of mystery cheesy butter? Only ate the sauerkraut. Couldn't stomach the cheesy butter or whatever that was. Thedice potatoes were smothered in what tasted like sweet and sour sauce. I get it, it's supposed to be German food for Octoberfestkind of thing, but I've never seen cheesy butter and sweet and sour potatoes ever in my life ???????. The 3 meats that came withthe meal were pretty decent though. Will also say, the service was decent, only had to wait a few minutes to get a refill, andthe meal was prepared fairly quickly. My daughter ordered the cowboy burger and loved it. The fries have something on them thatmake them a bit tastier and crunchy. Would definitely comeback, just not for the German Sampler. Read more
Finished a job in Chicago, thought I'd book a room in the hotel here so I could eat at Oliver's tonight... arrived at 10pm -... Turns out they "close the kitchen at 10pm" now. Would be VERY VERY NICE if you could add that information to your listing withgoogle. I even checked and saw "Open til 12am" and thought I was good to go. I went to the trouble to drive an hour afterfinishing up my job, book a room at this hotel, and come here to eat at Oliver's because it said they're open til 12am.... goingout of my way like that to do business with Oliver's and this hotel isn't a mistake I'll be making again. I'll stay here whenI'm NEARBY working, but I won't be driving out of my way to come here when I'm elsewhere in the area. Read more
