This place is an absolute madhouse! The service is barely there because everyone is too busy to have a second to breathe. The... food was regular breakfast, nothing to rave about. I get that they have an odd Skillet Potato side dish, I wasn't aware of thisupon ordering. And mine wasn't cooked, still white, no browning or warmth. Not sure what it's supposed to taste like. Also, thesausage gravy has no flavor. *Update* Tried this place again and was extremely disappointed! There was barely anyone in here, soyou'd think service would be snappy. NOPE! We were about to leave because no one came to the table or even acknowledged us for10 mins. Finally got a drink, but then again we sit and wait. Food was cold and bland. We had a good breakfast at our first visit. It was busy, but the wait times weren't bad. We sat at the breakfast counter and had... the nicest server, Sylvia. She was friendly, energetic, and had great energy. I ordered the pecan banana pancakes with eggs andbacon. My husband had the Cuban and kept repeating how good it was. The juices are advertised as freshly squeezed on the menubut sitting at the counter, we watched them pour from plastic bottles. We will be back as the menu has many enticing options.There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. We don't recommend sitting at the breakfast bar....the expeditorJohanne was kind of obnoxious yelling *I need a runner* every 3 min. She was obviously stressed and didn't hold her cool. Shewas rude to the kitchen staff on many occasions. I didn't like her lack of leadership and teamwork. When so many people aresitting their watching, you need to be cool and calm. The kitchen leader handled it well, though. He smiled and joked and kepthis team focused. I enjoyed watching him enjoy himself while also getting orders out in an efficient manner. He's a gem! Having been to Skillets several times in Fort Myers we were excited to see one opening up here in Bradenton. Service was pretty... ok for as busy as they were, food came out quick and hot. What?s not to love?! Great little breakfast spot in a growing area oftown. Read more
