Stopped in on a Monday for lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server (Alexander) shared the specials and provided... some nice bread service with delicious bourbon/maple butter. We ordered the wedge salad and the Marsala Meatloaf with macaronifor a small upcharge. All of the food was outstanding! Alexander provided top notch service as well. We will definitely be back. Not realizing that the establishment offered beer & wine only I asked for a mixed drink. "Bill" the head waiter informed me of... such! And, boy did he... Also stating that if liquor was more important to me than food.. I stopped him there!!!! #Rude,#Notprofessional, #Not appropriate. He is not an asset to the restaurant. He is a turn off!!!!!!! Great local place to eat. Food was all very good, service was excellent (Linda). Love the No rush dining. We went to Mean Deans Local Kitchen for the first time yesterday. We had great service with Rory. Our appetizer and main dish... were delicious. There were 4 of us and everyone loved their meal. We left so full and with leftovers. This is a greatrestaurant, located in a strip mall. We didn?t get a chance to meet the chef, but we saw him out, making the rounds. First, the restaurant itself is nice, quiet and the staff is very friendly. Ok, now let's talk about the food. Starting with... dessert if you love rich dark chocolate then go for the chocolate cheesecake it was so rich, thick, creamy, and chocolatey.Then, there was the appetizer I ordered the buffalo gator bites with the buffalo sauce on the side not tossed in and Mean Deanssignature sweet and zesty atomic sauce, which could have used a bit more heat but otherwise tasty and flavorful. As for thegator bites they were cooked to perfection and the batter was flavorful and well seasoned. Lastly, I highly recommend therosemary chicken in fig sauce it was absolutely delicious, well seasoned, the chicken was so juicy, tender and it just melted inyour mouth and the fig sauce had such an amazing flavor and paired so well with the rosemary chicken. So this wonderful food delicacy, begins the most airy peanut butter mouse pie(EVER), with the mildly spicy but melt in your... mouth tender but still have a crispy exterior, then we go to Dean thick and luscious dip and crisp and salty chips, thenBayshore salad was a salad for the garden lovers, then on to the creamy and also tender alligator chowder, now the main dishesthe island spiced pork tenderloin and bourbon-mango full rack with 5 cheese Mac n cheese. I'm new to the area and found this gem from an internet search of local restaurants. From the minute we walked in we were... treated like royalty. Our drinks were on the table before we even opened the menu! I ordered the center cut sirloin with shrimpand a Diablo sauce. It was crazy good. My partner ordered the gouda burger and fries. Delicious! The owner, Dean, camearound to check on us. He's a class act. I don't give out 5 stars often but it's deserved here. I'll be back for sure! Read more
