I wish I could take away the stars. This used to be " old Florida rv park". If you are looking for that old Florida feel- this... is no longer it - river , gators, palmettos, and whatever else lives and grows down here....now it's has a feel of a Walmartparking lot. No vegetation, concrete slabs everywhere. Thanks God they kept the restaurant similar to the way it used to be.Thefood is good but the service is awefull though- I came at 3pm- no customers , but also no bartender, no wait staff...they werephysically present, I could see them in the kitchen talking and eating... I was about to leave when someone approached me andasked if I was interested in a meal or a drink. 40 minutes after I came in!!!! I was afraid they were closed and I missed theclose sign...I got my appetizer and drink...but had to go back in to order my lunch Couldn't find anyone - so no lunch for me .It's a Shame -i used to come here a lot. This place is Ole Florida style meets Roadsideattractions. We love that they kept many of the original quirky items of decor... ,while still updating the restaurant. We only had lunch there, but the food was good and great portion sizes for the money.Outside has a relaxing view of the river, but the best part is enjoying all that there is to see in that place. Very happy tosee that this place is back, if you have anyone who has any dietary restrictions like Gluten or vegan, there may not be alot ofoptions, but if you're looking for clean good food at a reasonable price, this could be the place for you. I have really good memories of several dining experiences here. This is the kind of place where you could take your out of town... guests to, and they'll remember the details of it because of the uniqueness of it all. I tried alligator twice here before Iwent vegetarian, in a soup and as a burger. It's worth trying it in different ways. Friends got some plump frog legs that weregood according to them. 2 weeks late post (Before Ian hurricane) Kids definitely loved the atmosphere with all the preserved animals around. Kids also... loved their kids menu. I ventured to try the alligator burger and it was a little harder meat compared to the beef burger. Mywife loved the alligator chowder though. Pastas were great. The service was very good. A great place to eat especially if youwant the feel of a cabin- out in the woods type of ambiance for lunch or dinner. Read more

So happy to have them open again after 2 years closed. Food was delicious as always. Had the frog legs, gator and catfish. Oh... man, it was filling. Service was excellent, she was always looking out for me, even the manager came by a couple oftimes. Highly recommend Linger Lodge Read more

I drove over 50 miles to try the frog legs as they were featured on Chanel 9 News. I'm glad I did. The frog legs were sautéed... in Garlic butter and seasoned to perfection. The were huge but very tender and tasty. Read more

Since they reopened in 2022 I have been here several times. One the first day they opened , and twice more the following weeks.... I live in the neighborhood and it's very convenient. The food was great ...if you have the patience to wait for it. It tooknearly 2 hours !!!for me and my friend to get a burger and a chicken wrap. The flavor was great and I personally wasn't in anyhurry and they were not busy at the time either. Our server forgot to bring our drinks twice, while sitting at the table rollingsilverware with another staff member.i brought my family here the following week as their Facebook post said they hired morestaff but the wait was just as long. The only available tables were to sit 6 + people ,there were probably 4-5 empty tables, butthey wouldn't sit us because there was only 4 of us and all smaller tables were taken. I nearly walked out but as we turnedaround to leave a smaller table bacame available . I was glad we stayes as the food once again didn't disappoint- the LingerLodge Étouffée was amazing. My kids had chicken Alfredo and Cajun chicken kabobs and they absolutely loved their food. I surehope the service gets better as the staff gets trained appropriately I will update my review if that ever happens. Read more
