We went there for the first time last night to see the Paul Nelson Band - he played with Johnny Winter and others. Show was... great! Very good food also, but most notable about this place was the great venue for seeing music at this level! Its a smalloutdoor yard, with widely spaced tables and they only sell tickets for the seats, no standing room. So it is like seeing ashow in your own backyard, but you do not have to cook or wash the dishes after the show. Staff is very nice. We were able topark around the corner from the place on the street, not sure if that is true on season. Highly recommend you try this place. Read more

Great food and service. We had to pay for the biscuits but they were sooo yummy, it was worth the $4.00. Their take on Caesar... salad was fun as was the fried chicken and crab soup. There's live music in the outside back dining area and we're lookingforward to our next visit. Read more

I can't remember ever going to a restaurant with a music venue that was as cordial. Our service, food was outstanding. I had... the fried peach pie. It was suggested by our server. It was delicious. I will return for more. The is made fresh which makesit a little more costly but well worth the extra money. The band was a local bluegrass/ country was very enjoyable. So if youwant to go out for a nice evening of good music, excellent food with outstanding service go to the Cottonmouth. Read more

Great little spot in the heart of downtown Bradenton. Southern Soul Food best describes Cottonmouth. We were here with the live... music that was great. The food was a little slow to come out, but you do not notice since the band was playing. The meatloafburger was excellent! I highly recommend this place! Read more

YES, THIS IS IT... JUST TRY IT... no, wait a second, before you leave the house, stop by your garage... you're gonna need a... cot!! This is comfort food, taken to a higher level... the shrimp & grits is like heaven in a bowl, it's got that "sweet heat"flavor... just trust me. Kyle served us, and he was so awesome we wanted to invite him to sit at the table so we could swapstories... this is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. We'll definitely be back!! #sooooogood #icanteven#shouldbeTENstars Read more

We've been wanting to visit for a long time but just hadn't been able to for one reason or another. So glad we decided to check... it out on the weekend they were hosting women in blues! We couldn't get a seat in the full house out back so we sat out front. We ordered the crab cake, calamari and fried green tomatoes. Everything was very good! Definitely will be going back. Read more

This was not just a restaurant. It was an experience. From the blues musicians (guitarist and singer with amazing pipes) to the... outdoor seating to the outstanding food and service, this was one of my favorite restaurant experiences that I can remember. Wewere informed that they were out of the jambalaya? but then the cook prepared some anyway! and it was delicious. The greens weregreat and that fried chicken was delicious and juicy. Drinks were good as well. Read more

I visited Cottonmouth for the first time last Friday. It is in the Village of the Arts neighborhood of Bradenton. There was... plenty of street parking - easy even for me! The neighborhood was well lit with lots of art and other window shopping on theshort walk from my car What a great scene! The staff acted like it was great fun meeting us and taking care of our orders. Thelive music was awesome! All seats were close to the musicians; the sound was wonderful. They seem to have a happy loyalfollowing there judging by the friendliness between the staff and customers. Some delicious regional dishes on the menu and anice variety. The atmosphere at the outdoor music area was delightful - sparkling lights strung above, gorgeous huge oldFlorida trees, great murals, charming building. They routinely have live music including jazz afternoons or evenings onSundays. The bathroom was sparkling clean. There were also indoor tables for those not listening to the band.I am lookingforward to getting back to Cottonmouth frequently! Read more
