My group waited 80 minutes for the worst Italian food we?ve ever had. This is my first bad review, but it is well deserved... because the chef (Carmen?s) attitude was horrible when we tried to speak to him about the subpar service. Carmen blamed the badservice and food on his recent health issues, but that was no reason to disrespect us when we politely reached out about thisservice. I have personally never had to complain to a chef about their food until today, especially when we came to therestaurant more than 2 hours before closing and got our food less than 30 minutes before closing. Absolutely horrible experience. No silverware was given...I was nice about it. The bread...ehhh. Ok it's a small place. I don't... come just for bread. The Veal Scaopenia dinner came out looking Luke a lunch plate with the wrong pasta. When it was finallycorrected it came with the wrong sauce. I was then chastised by the owner who came out to the table...thankful that thereweren't many people there. Embarrassing! All because I asked for a specific pasta when it was ordered and listed on the ticketcorrectly. And then...when the correct pasta was brought out finally (when the rest of thr meal was cold) it had red sauce allover it and I'd specifically asked to have the veal sauce. Also, the veal scalopinia was skimpy and lacked flavor. Mushroomswere served within the sauce but no capers. Marsala has mushrooms but scalopinia is supposed to have capers. The house merlotwine was below average too. And yep I had to pay for this. ???? If only my host had been gracious. Read more
Came in for the first time ever and I would recommend this place to anyone. The service was fantastic and the food was perfect.... Made just like my Nonna would make us. Definitely best true authentic Italian cuisine. Read more
Not one to leave bad reviews, as many small, local businesses thrive on word-of-mouth? but here goes; The restaurant is cute,... well-presented. But it was absolutely freezing! Our (male) server was very un-attentive, having to ask for water refills andwasn?t until 45 minutes into our 2.5 hour wait, did we receive our app, then fresh bread, then salads. Then an hour after thatdid we get our entrees. The only other waiter was great and she made sure we were getting our items. It is made-to-order style,which is nice and different from American ways, but if you are looking for a prompt meal, this is NOT your place. It is veryLONG to get ANYTHING. Most important- the food. We are huge foodies and enjoy finding unique places to eat, needless to say, itisn?t great, only ok at best. However, my sons lobster special was delicious. The wait would have been worth it if the food wasa knock-out. Disappointing that the food was not very good for the price and wait. Sorry, just won?t be back, but wish y?all thebest! Read more
