Reviews for Shaw's Hotel & Cottages in Brackley Beach, PE
Ideal location. Short walk through the trees to the beach side! Not ideal if you are carrying a tonne of stuff to the beach but... great for a short beach stay. The sun was super hot, so it is important to bring your own shade! If you don't walk down youhave to pay the provincial park fee. The staff were all SUPER FRIENDLY and professional! We loved the breakfasts. Home cooking, good portions and variety. You must try their homemade jam!!! mmmmmm Lovely property with great history. We stayed in a cottageperfect for our family!!! Had evening meal and a couple of drinks. Lovely location a pit of a walk from town along moderately busy road. Friendly young... staff offering a modest selection of reasonably priced meals. THE HOME OF REAL CHOWDER and IRISH COFFEE for the first time in 3months travelling Canada. Read more

Stayed in the hotel, not cabins, due to a different hotel room in Charlotte town that was overbooked and canceled us. This was... the only thing we could find available. The room condition was terrible. The carpet was horribly dirty and worn and it would bebetter for the owners to rip it out completely and have wood floors. The smell was terrible, it just felt dirty and old. Icouldn?t bring myself to sleep in the bed sheets because I found several hairs. The wireless Internet was pretty muchnonexistent in the room and sketchy anywhere else on the property. The shower was hard to regulate, would be scorching hot thenfreezing cold with no change of the dials. I felt very uncomfortable there and could not wait to leave. This room was extremelyoverpriced for the quality. Felt like a bad motel stay. It?s a shame because you walk up to the place and think it looks soquaint and sweet, but once you see and smell the condition of the room, you?d almost rather just sleep in your car. Read more
In the countryside near a pristine Atlantic Ocean beach with a five star restaurant. Need I say more? A dream. City people be... aware, though--these are country style rooms. Similar to British countryside inns. Old furniture and mattresses, dated décorand old bathrooms. Never mind, it doesn't matter because the empty oceanfront beach and the restaurant is everything. Besides,it makes you feel as if you're on a true seaside holiday. Best Caesar salad I've ever had in my life. Had it almost every night.Kind of wish someone had told us there were beach towels and chairs and coffee available at all times before we figured it outon the last day. Oh well, we know for next time. Read more

Fantastic location and beautiful setting. Restaurant was well served by very friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to the beach... through a private path which takes about 10 minutes to get there. We were biking and they were very accommodating and allowed usto store our bikes in their garage which was locked up overnight. Dinner was impeccable with great pizzas and salad and awesomecraft beer on tap! Read more
This is indeed a gem. The cottage we had was so nice that we did not feel to go out and explore other places. The beach was just... a 5 minute walk and was not crowded at all. It looked like a private beach with only a few people around. Beach chairs, towelsand umbrella were all provided by the management which was very thoughtful. The view from the deck was amazing and we lovedspending our mornings and evenings there. Very impressed by the housekeeping staff as they were prompt and helpful. We trieddinner at the restaurant and had some amazing food and drinks. The outdoor seating gives you an excellent view while dining butwe chose indoors because of the infamous PEI mosquitoes. Overall 3 well spent days at this place. Read more
