This place is fantastic. It was our first time in and our server was so kind and patient with our kids, answering their many... many questions about the taco options. The food was wonderful, as was the wine and the hibiscus cocktail! We?ll definitely beback for more. Read more
It is not often that we find a place where everything was excellent but we stopped here on the way through Bozeman and had guac... and 4 of the tacos on the selection and shared. The depth of flavors mixed in each was amazing. The verde sauce that accompaniedthe chips was also delightful and we ordered and extra portion to transport back home to Chicago to share with our friends. Waited to come to this restaurant for months. With write ups in food and wine magazine I expected this place to blow my mind.... Then you see the prices and sure as hell hope it does. I\'ve never had a stale chip in my life that is chewy..( not from anyrestaurant)...this place there were at least 7! They were out of micheladas. The guacamole was straight Avocado, no seasoning oranything and the salsa portions were about 2oz each $12. One was hot and the other way to much lime juice. We got the cevichefor $25 and it was just 3 large shrimp cut into pieces, some terrible knife skills on the onions and cilantro and a bowl full oflime juice. Also, the margaritas come out of a box in the fridge. Just for kicks, I wanted to taste the sangria. It tasted likewine & water. The waitress was very sweet. But it was the food, not the service. We felt a tad unwelcome from the start- we didn?t make a reservation, but showing up at 5:30 PM there was hardly anyone in the... restaurant. The host thought long and hard as to whether or not they could seat us because they had some 6:30 reservations. theyasked if we thought we could be out by 630, and we agreed.\n\nThe food tasted really good, but as you can tell from the plate,not a ton of food for the money. I was surprised that they didn?t have even rice and beans or anything to go with themeal.\n\nAlso, they don?t have a liquor license, so their margaritas are really sweet and made with wine, not tequila. We choseto go beer instead.\n\nThis might just be a pet peeve of mine, based on my Americanized mindset of consumption, but everythingthey served wasn?t full. We ordered the chips and salsa, and the salsa bowls were only half full. When the beer was served, itwasn?t a full pour!\n\nThe waitress was very nice though, and it is a fun place to check out!
