We just had a meet up dinner at Captain's Catch. The food was delicious. The wait staff was very professional and kind. This... was the second time we had a meet up there. Both times they did not offer us the Early Bird menu. The reason was, we weretold, it confuses the kitchen. They did give us a beverage and dessert with the regular priced meal. Not offering our group of19 people the Early Bird menu was not nice. They also upcharge for a clam chowder soup or caesar salad. Not nice. This groupprobably will not go there again. Read more

My husband and I ordered a 2lb lobster dinner as takeout last Thursday. We had done this several times since COVID, and had been... very pleased with the food This time I placed the order with Liz, the manager , and we drove 40 minutes each way to pick upthe meal. We were extremely disappointed when we opened the container with the lobster. There was not a drop of water in thecontainer, the lobster was room temperature, though all the sides were still warm, the claw meat was extremely dry and the tailwas inedible, tough and dry. The lobster had obviously been cooked a while ago and though not spoiled, was too tough to chew.When I called back and spoke to Liz, she was adamant that the lobster was freshly cooked, had cameras to prove that, andinformed me that the best she could do is offer me a discount on our next order. After losing $70 (meal+tip) and being treatedso poorly by the manager, I was truly surprised that Liz would even think that there would be a next time! The NE clam chowder was not upto their usual standards and it went into the garbage, they also charge extra for clam chowder . We called to complain and theysaid "they would take care of us next time" I don't even know what that means. I sent a message to someone who may be a boss orowner and he made me feel like I did wrong LOL He states they don't recommend lobster takeout because they dont travel well andwon't allow it anymore. Please update your website. If you are no longer serving steamer clams and Ipswich fried clams, take the items off your website... very misleading. New to the area we excited to find our favorite restaurants. We were Immediately disappointed when the waitressinformed us that they no longer serve these items. We ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo $$$. 1/2 of a very small lobster, a dishfull of tiny mussels and a small amount of pasta. Basically it taste like Noodles and ketchup with hot sauce, no oregano,nochunks of tomatoes, no visible garlic slices, tasteless. This is just my opinion, Our waitress was great. No wait lines. Had dinner there the other night and always enjoyed going there, this time not so much. We didn?t mind the very long wait for... out food, but the food wasn?t worth the long wait. I had the shrimp parm with vegetables and pasta. The shrimp were over cookedand tasteless as well as the pasta with marinara sauce, just tasteless. The veggies were good but really small portion. Beware! Not what you expect! Ordered linguine and clam sauce, and more clam sauce in rhe bag than in the plate. Crab cake... appetizer is 14.95 and is about the size of a biscuit. Oh, and there is only One. More breading than crab. See pictures.... Read more

Very basic seafood restaurant. I thought the service was good and attentive and friendly enough. Sat outside on a Sunday... evening. Their specials on the board were mostly just the market price for the day. Food was average at best. Most of our foodordered was swimming in garlic oil and not in a good way. The meal includes a fresh baked loaf of honey wheat bread and butter,plus a choice of soup or salad and they were nothing special. The salad was okay though they don't make any dressings in house.The Manhatten Chowder was a little fishy and lacking seasoning. The softshell crabs were obviously prefrozen as they are not inseason but they were harvested as babies and very tiny. The stuffed shrimp were good sized and most likely fresh but the crabmeat did not seem house made. The house veggies of the day were cooked right but served in way too much oil.
