Reviews for Mountainside Grille in Boyne Falls, MI
There's a reason this place is always empty. The prices are outrageous and food is beyond mediocre. It's my fault for wanting ... to patronize a small local business. Lesson learned. I paid $6 for my child to have chocolate milk (see photo). Almost $10 forOne hard biscuit that was burned on the bottom and some gravy.(Please stop flase advertising biscuits and gravy when it's Abiscuit One) Fries were an additional $4 on a $12 burger. Also burgers are burgers no cheese I assume that is an additional $2or $3, I had cheese in the car for my son so I just grabbed it. It's unfortunate that a cute little place has such a terriblebusiness model. Trying to gouge visitors. It would have been cheaper to eat at the resort, which is hilarious because everyoneknows they upcharge. The waitress was sweet. I feel bad for her and hope they pay her decent. We visit the area often but willnever stop here again and tell others not to as well. Read more
Its cute and sever was nice. But mozzarella sticks were gross tasted like old oil. We thought nothing of it until the main dish... came out. I had cod that was decent. (Only reason it was given 2 stars) but my mom ordered the Mushroom swish burger... she tooka bite and when she pulled the burger away it was red/ still bloody... even the bun underneath the burger and the plate wasbloody. I sent it back and she and I both 1 cod strip and called it a day. Now I will go back in a few months because they aregoing to start serving Boba beverages there. So ill definitely try that out and if the food is better than ill update myreview. Lastly, this is an dry bar restaurant. I don't mind that personally. I don't drink often but if you are looking formixed drinks or beer with your dinner or lunch. Then this isn't the place for you. Read more
I haven't been to such a great place in a long time. Great food, and I mean great. Like my grandparents cooked it themselves.... Quality ingredients too! Only a couple plates left unemptied!! One of my new favorite places. And pay close attention to thetables, they're absolutely beautiful craftsmanship done by the owner himself. Was staying at boyne resort for this trip but IWILL be returning. Owner even caught me outside because I almost forgot my Toddlers left overs! Wonderful people. Read more
We went here for breakfast with our family. We weren?t super impressed with the food. My omelette had barely anything inside it.... The waitress asked if I wanted hash browns and didnt inform me that they were extra. They actually weren?t hash browns at all, they were slightly cooked sliced unseasoned potatoes. My husbands sausage skillet was served on a cold skillet, the cheesewasn?t even melted and they tossed 1 sausage patty on top. Not horrible but not super impressed either. Staff was friendly.Prices were quite high for the amount and quality we received. Read more

We stayed at Boyne Resort and couldn't find a place to eat without waiting an hour. We called ahead and we didn't need a... reservation. We like our waitress Amanda. She was a colorful person. My friends got a grill cheese, pulled pork, and and chickentenders. I got a Jack and pepsi, and a the lemon pepper planked whitefish. The fish was good. I especially liked the hushpuppies on the sides. My friend did not like the food especially the grill cheese that was overcooked on one side. Overall, nowait. Great place to get fish. Great atmosphere. Rest of the food is meh. Read more
Not sure why this place has a giant sign on the outside of the building saying, "BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER" you can't even get... lunch before noon! Went in there today around 10:30. Saw they had a grilled cheese with bloody Mary crusted bread. Sounds like agreat choice to me for 10:30 on a Sunday. I went to order the grilled cheese and was abruptly told by the waitress I could onlyorder breakfast. I was annoyed, but decided on the biscuits and gravy. The food came out around 20 mins later and was room tempto cold... I asked the waitress if she could take the plate back and maybe throw it in the microwave because it was cold. Shedid brought it back and it was warm. Took a bite out of the biscuit and noticed a bitter taste. Flipped the biscuits over andfound exactly what I suspected. Burnt. If you want breakfast lunch or dinner your better off going to the speedway gas stationacross the street and finding something there. 1/10 would not recommend. Read more
