This review is for the service not the food (as I never got the chance to taste it). I ordered soup for takeout and they said it... shouldn't take long, 10min later I asked and no one bother to say anything, another 5min I asked again and they said they arewaiting for the soup as they don't have it. 5more min, now totaling 20min they came and told me it is going to be 5 more minutesand that is when I asked to get my money back and even then they made me wait. No apology and no offer to compensate. First timeand last time. Read more
I hate leaving bad reviews but after giving them 3 tries I?ll never go back. I ordered my food at 5:32 pm. I followed up at... 6:36 to find out what was going on with my order since the online order update still did not show it out for delivery. I wastold by customer service my order was being dispatched for delivery which was reflected on the website. 7:00 I called back tocancel my order which they did. At 7:15 a delivery guy shows up and informs us he was at home and got a call around 6:45 tocome in to work to make this delivery. They did NOT dispatch our order but rather just told us they did even though they had noone to deliver the food. Brutal customer service and management to allow this to happen. Previous visit I waited over an hourfor a take out order. First experience was a delivery that took well over an hour and got fries that were still firm and coldin the middle. My wife and her mother had lunch. The hostess at the front was very friendly and held the door for us as we entered. She had us... seated in a bench seat as we requested. The server was also very friendly. I ordered the chicken wing meal as well as my motherin law. The wings and the fries were fresh and tasted great. My wife's quarter chicken dinner was also very good. We had a nicelunch thanks to the staff and the well cooked lunch. Looking forward to going back with my wife for lunch or dinner again. Read more
I had a fancy date here this evening and everything was top notch. Our amazing waitress Jackie got us everything we wanted and... made sure we had all we needed. The guests admired how spiffy we were and so many kind staff who helped each other out. The foodwas yummy but the pie mmmmm that lemon meringue pie is so good. Read more
I ordered a 1/4 chicken dinner with a garden salad. I think they are now using baby chickens! The portion was so small they... should be ashamed of themselves! The salad was limp and had 2 pieces of cucumber that's it. This experience reminded me why Istopped dining with them. The 1 star is for our great server. Read more
Not so good experience. The waitress forgot what we ordered and messed up. The food wasn?t that tasty. The pumpkin pie was... frozennnn! We told them that it was frozen so they gave us another one but still very cold! While entering I asked one of thewaitresses is there anything they do for birthday, they said they?ll let me know which they never did. The only reason I gavetwo starts is because our waitress gave my partner a pump of cherry drink with his coke because he wanted cherry coke but theydidn?t have it. The quality has really tanked at ALL Swiss Chalets. Ever since Cara Foods took them over the chickens they are using are half... the size and they are overcooked and dry. I came back to give them a chance after repeated horrible delivery experiences fromanother Swiss Chalet in Oshawa. This visit was just as bad. Kids pizzas were burnt and overcooked. Servers were nice but itcan't make-up for the poor food quality. Pre Covid this restaurant used to be rammed......now it's barely 1 full. Can onlyguess a large part is the food quality. Read more
