So good! So friendly! So nice! Great little side of the road diner with a pretty good sized menu. The back side of the menu is... all breakfast! I had the Big Dixie burger and it was excellent. Served hot with crisp fresh veggies on top... delicious! Servedby the friendliest people in the world! Read more

It is hit or miss with the quality of the food. The staff is friendly enough tho. Their home fries are fried. They are just... square bite sized French fries. My grandson said is pancakes tasted like paste. On the upside, their bacon is perfect as aretheir eggs over medium. Still enough yolk to dip the toast but the whites aren't runny! Read more

I grew up in this small town and forgot that southern hospitality means something else when you are not white. If you are not... white, I suggest that you do not eat here. Everyone, including the other diners, turned to stare at us when we entered. It wentsilent and after an awkward minute, it was not an employee who spoke to us, but rather an older dining gentlemen. He said, "Youcan sit in the back." I don't know if he was being rude or helpful but at least he addressed us. When we sat down, one of mydaughters took out the jelly cups and started stacking them and we told her not to play with them. Right after this, a waitresscame up to us and said she's not supposed to touch them because of covid. However, there are absolutely no covid precautionstaken inside this restaurant. All the condiments (ketchup, hot sauce, syrup, sugar) are shared between tables without beingdisinfected and no barriers were placed so I felt like this was an excuse to speak negatively towards us. The positive is thatthe food was cooked decently and other waitresses came to check on us for coffee refills. My recommendation for a friendlierexperience is to wait a little longer for Victoria's Diner which is only a few minutes away. Read more

8/22/2021 was our first venture to Dixie Diner, and I'm gobsmacked! We arrived around 845am. The staff was very sweet and fast... checking in on every customer. I had the white gravy and biscuits- just like my Mother made from scratch. I was so full, I hadto take blueberry pancakes home. Phenomenal! Husband ordered Country fried steak and eggs w/hashbrowns, cheese grits and abiscuit. Everything came out hot and as ordered. It's right outside Gastonia city limits. You must try breakfast! Coffee wasalso very tasty! Read more
