Pretty good southern comfort food at reasonable prices. I had the fried chicken wings with mac & cheese and the hoppin' John (I... love black-eyed peas) with cast iron cornbread and it didn't disappoint. They offer the option to have the chicken fried hardwhich I declined and rightly so as they were fried perfectly. My wife had fried catfish (she wanted fried pork chops but theywere sold out) with mac & cheese and cabbage and cast iron cornbread and she enjoyed it. Cabbage was okay but not spectacular. I also prefer my mac baked with a little brown to it which this was not. Cornbread was the consistency of pound cake which isgood. We tried the sweet potato pie, peach cobbler and bread pudding. Sweet potato pie tasted like homemade just cooked a tadtoo dark for me but it had good flavor. The bread pudding was good but did have nuts inside which we don't prefer. The peachcobbler was great and I wish I had it with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it perfect. Overall the food was good andI'll definitely return to try their other menu items. Read more

I had the shot ribs for $31.00. Do not get these, I had 5 bones and only 2 had meat on them and they were very chewy. No sure... why they are prices so high. Truly no worth the money. Read more

I ordered chicken wings and baked salmon. My order was supposed to be ready at 5:08 and it wasn't ready until 5:38. After... waiting 10 min after expected time, I went in to check on my order. The reason it was taking long was because someone forgot toput the salmon in the oven on time. One of the girls at the register found this amusing and laughed. I went back to my car andwaited another 20 min until I got a text that my order was ready. I got a halfhearted apology, got my food, and went home. Thesalmon was bland, the chicken wings seem like they had been sitting the entire time in the container while the salmon cooked, asthey were nearly room temp and not crispy. One of the chicken wings were old and inedible. The collard greens and sweet tea werethe only items we got that were enjoyable. I don't think I'll be back. I don't think anyone cares how late my order was. And noone bothered to fry the wings so that they were fresh with the salmon. This is one of the few soul food spots around me and it'stoo bad I can't trust the quality anymore. Read more

It had been a while since visiting Ruby's. Happy to say the taste of the food has improved. The biscuits are everything. I... ordered blackened salmon with greens and black-eyed peas. My son's order was the fried wings with greens and mac and cheese. Aside of mac & cheese and fried corn. So the salmon was delicious, the greens were too salty for me but my son liked the tasteof them. The black-eyed peas tasted heavy and bland. Needed more seasoning. The rest of the sides ordered were delicious. Thedesserts (banana pudding & red velvet cake) was so on point. I would recommend and go back to Ruby's just ordering a couple ofdifferent sides. The food was just meh for us... definitely not worth the price we paid. The website says dine in is an option, it's not. If we... had known that, we would have called our order in. The regulars knew this so although there were beef ribs on the line, theywere reserved for the call in orders. The fried whiting was thin, the mac and cheese was made with processed cheese and mybiscuit was overcooked. I don't eat pork but my daughter wasn't impressed with the greens. I suggest you call, and place your order. They only offer take out. If you do order there, the wait is about 20 minutes. I... really enjoyed the Creole Shrimp, & Grits. Never had it like that before. It was different, but it was good. The Bayou ShimpPasta is also a good choice. Read more
