I HATED THESE PREVIOUSLY FROZEN FRIED OYSTERS! I really love Fresh Fried Oysters. I?ve been eating fried oysters nearly my... whole life. My husband makes a point to buy me Fried Oysters every day for a week each year for my birthday. We have our spotsI love to get fried oysters from and then we try new places. Today I opened the Valupak Coupon envelope that comes in the mail. We?ve never been to Rock & Toss Crab House so I said let?s try this new spot today (Aug. 13, 2022)? Fried Oysters and Frieswas my lunch order, he got Fried Soft Shell Crabs and Fries. We are rating both platters with 1 Star because the Fries were agood portion and tasty but fries are not the main foods we wanted to enjoy. The FRIED OYSTERS and FRIED SOFT SHELL CRABS are aBIG FAT 0 ZERO! These were the WORST FROZEN COMPLETELY BLAND UNSEASONED SEAFOOD EVER! FRIED OYSTERS- Some of my fried oysterswere still cold on the inside. The Oysters looked like they were cooked in unseasoned flour instead of a seafood batter. Theflour was loose from the oysters and tasted so bland and had an old freezer-burn fishy taste. These were the worst looking andtasting fried oysters I have ever eaten. Completely ruined day 2 of my birthday week of Fried Oysters! FRIED SOFT SHELL CRAB-Absolutely No Seasoning nor taste. Service was great and pretty fast. Our first time here and felt welcomed. Really awesome seafood, quality and quantity was... amazing! If you're not familiar with the experience, everything comes out in a bag, tossed in the season of your choice. Theyoffer bibs, gloves, and wipes cuz it's a bit messy, but very delicious! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Though not impressed with my menu choices, I will give this restaurant another chance... (sometime in the future). My choice, soft shell crabs with sweet potato fries looked reasonably appetizing. The batter was notvery heavy but it was all I could taste on the soft shell crabs. Even when batter peeled off, there was no taste of the crab.Same for sweet potato fries that I often get when I go out--no taste. I left the fries and can't remember anything more aboutthe crabs. Fast and good service. The food was great and hot. Seasoned well. The popcorn is a nice added pre meal touch.
First time coming, bad experience. Slow service, only one waitress serving, bar tender called out, manager was making the... drinks. Not good at all. Waited over 30 min, just got a beer, Tequila Sunrise and fried calamari. Had to peace, extremely slowservice. Nice decor, atmosphere seemed great, just bad experience. Read more
This restaurant was my first even cajun seafood experience, in my opinion to see all these similar restaurants popping up I... assumed it was overrated, and probably just seafood in old bay I can make at home, omg was I wrong. The flavors are great withthe seafood, I love they have a variety of seafood to choose from if your making your own combo. The only reason I gave thisfour stars, is because of the scallop appetizer, when they came out they were pretty cold, I didn't say anything because Ididn't know if this was how they were supposed to be, other than that they tasted fine. It was a pleasantly surprised . The way the food was presented was outstanding. The service was over @beyond to make a Birthday... party the bestess ever. Great family time. Everything tasted really good. Nice atmosphere!!! I'm thankful to have a great day. Also good to watch games too. Blessed @ Highly favorite. Read more
