First time in, I was living temporarily off of Jay rd. I wish I had known about this place sooner! Very high quality food. I... would say close to fine dining. I expected a greasy spoon diner, and was blown away. I came by myself and it was the perfectsolo date. I had the gnocchi short rib stroganoff and it was wonderful, especially for a cold night. Staff is friendly andpersonalized. They stopped by and made it a point to have a conversation with me. I am moving to Telluride, but I will try myhardest to visit again. It's a wonderful surprise. Tremendous selection of entrees, soups, sandwiches, appetizers. I stopped there to get a blackened... salmon burger which I couldn't find on the west side of Denver. Get there early! Read more
I?ve nearly eaten the entire menu as I write this, having recently discovered this incredible gem in Boulder. I?m a recent... transplant from Florida, and have been dying for good seafood. The only reason I rated this establishment so low is simply because the service was the absolute worst I have ever had in my... life. Was sat without a menu for starters, which I had to wait almost 10 minutes for. Not even two minutes after I was asked formy order on a whim. Though it did not take the kitchen very long to compose my order (bravo): the tuna sandwich and Mac andcheese. Cooked to perfection. Though I wasn't given any silverware... I tried to flag down both service staff to no avail. OnceI was finished with my sandwich I sat there for a good twenty minutes before my check was presented. What absolutely kills medeep inside is that it was not the least bit busy all the while the servers cuss and rant behind the bar. Paying little to noattention to their patrons. Read more
Wonderfully warm atmosphere with owners actively involved in creating a great place for a special occasion or for warm bowl of... soup on a stormy night. Great service. And the food is even better. Creative dishes with special attention to pairing,seasoning, and presentation. I cannot recommend Cafe Blue any more enthusiastically. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.You won?t be disappointed. I was hyper impressed with this restaurant! Yeah, it's in a strip mall, and yeah, I was not expecting anything spectacular. We... showed up for happy hour, 8 to Burgers Fries & Wings for less than $40 including the tip. And what's amazing, is that everythingwas awesome. The drinks were wonderful, and the service was good. Been here twice. This is one of the nicer results in the gun barrel area (not that many options though). On both occasions we... were attended to by a very polite server with an New York (I think) accent. I?m not a picky eater but the customer service wasspot on. Read more
