When Summer,... behind the counter, saw my wife and me struggling a bit with ordering from the kiosk, she immediately stepped in and took careof us. If your into burnt chicken then this is the place, second time coming here and the first time was fine but not this time,... everything we ordered was over cooked and the wait time was about ten minutes to get food you would expect better. TLDR: Birdcall has some of the best chicken sandwiches in Boulder. Definitely check them out if you're in town or a local! The... Good: both the Deluxe and Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches tasted great. The taste of the fries and tots is also phenomenal.Prices seem reasonable given it's in Boulder and inflation, and $13-$15 for a sandwich, side, and drink is fair in my book. Theatmosphere of the place also makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy your meal. Staff were kind and helpful. TheNot-so-Good: The fries and tots were both lukewarm by the time we received them, and this is an issue I've seen mentionedelsewhere. They still tasted great, but they definitely could be served hotter. I was also a little disappointed by thethickness and juiciness of the chicken patty. Close rivals offer thicker pieces of meat, and while the patties here arecertainly not bad, they could benefit from some thickness. Read more
Consistency is improving! I really want to love this place, I kind of already do. I deleted my original review cause they have... made improvements! Especially with the size and juiciness of the chicken patty. Thank you! The only thing keeping this from 5stars is the French fries situation. Consistently not hot French fries, to the point I stopped ordering fries or tots. I justtried the fries again today and still no fresh hot fries but I believe they could get that figured some how. A peek in the backlooks like they are just sitting there, possibly under a heat lamp but it just ain?t doing the trick for amazingly fresh fries.I?ll try the fries again in a month or two, if they start being hot and fresh I will certainly up this to 5 stars. In my heartthis a 5 star review but I want fresh fries! Lol I eat here a lot and the sandwich has certainly improved since they firstopened! P.S, happy hour M-F 2-6 is a really good deal!
