Absolute hidden gem sushi spot. The katsu and bi bim bap are also excellent and the steamed shu mai is some of the best I've had... anywhere. Take out is always speedy, but eating in is very nice as well. Read more

It was late, just arrived after a long drive to Boston with my daughter and both of us wanted something healthy to eat before... bed. We arrived an hour before close. Service was attentive and caring. Despite the late hour a few other patrons were enjoyingthe food and atmosphere as well. Moko is easy to find as it is right on the corner. The place is smallish (intimate some wouldsay). It is appropriately furnished and does not feel cramped. There are two small bars, one for sushi, the other for cocktails. If you are into sports, there are 2 large televisions to catch your eye. But the real draw is the food. I did not have highexpectations and was happily surprised how good the food was! I had the sashimi regular while my daughter had the udon. Thesashimi was preceded by miso soup and that was when I knew we were in for a treat. It was so yummy! Really, if all I wanted wasthat, I would go to Moko to get it. And the sashimi was fantastic as was its presentation. The only thing missing were theleaves, but they are probably hard to get here. My daughter had the udon, which took a minute to arrive. But when we saw thebowl we understood why. It was larger than expected, artistically prepared, and smelled fantastic. Although she was unable toconsume it all, she reported that it was 'tasty! ' I did have a sip at the end of the meal and can say the broth was on par withthe miso soup. Yummy! So would I recommend this place to a hungry, tired traveler? A resounding Yes! Read more

It?s been a while since I was here, the food was excellent and service was good enough. I think it?s a family run operation but... I?m not sure, the owner I presume was hospitable and I felt the food was priced well. The beverages were a wee bit overpricedbut you can always just stick to soda. I have been here with my friend, sister and partner bit at different times. We walked soI am unsure about parking. Read more

Delivery driver moved his car so we could park right outside. The staff was very friendly and the sushi was exceptional. We... ordered a variety of sushi and rolls and were not disappointed. Price was great. Wish we lived closer! Read more

Ordered Nabeyaki udon, tempura appetizer, sushi regular, beef tataki and fried calamari. Average food quality and waitress... didn't appreciate customers. Read more

We ordered their Moko roll and it is supposed to be crab and scallop. The whole thing was fake crab. So we paid $14 for a spicy... cauliflornia roll. Scam! And the miso soup was half full. We called to complain and they didn't seem to care. The Penny pinchingand lack of customer service left an awful taste in my mouth. Read more

The sushi at moko is great! Love their spicy tuna specialty rolls and avocado salad. Atmosphere is quiet but cozy. Definitely... not where you want to go on a night out. Overall, I would recommend for good sushi in Southie! Read more
