These reviews are pathetic! Are people so desperate for a great place they just pretend? I received a order with dirty wet... napkins that someone wiped their hands on on top of my food! Immediately got a refund everything was soggy bacon had a hair orelse that would have been the only thing edible! An American dinner, people come here for the experience rather than the actual food. We ordered the corn beef with fried potato... two toast and my friend ordered the waffle with a side of bacon and paid extra for real maple syrup. The waitress was friendlyhowever two tables came after us and serviced before us, it toke them 45 minute to realize that they haven?t put our order inand she apologized for that and our food was on the table 10 minutes after !!! Very friendly service. Quick and breakfast was fresh. A local convinced me to get French toast and it didn?t disappoint.
Food was amazing, atmosphere and people watching fascinating, and staff so friendly and helpful. Can't recommend highly enough! ... We got clam chowder, corned beef Benedict, and the pilgrim sandwich. All were great! Read more
HOME RUN! The rare 5 star review. And totally deserved, on a consistent basis. This is the breakfast Eating experience you must... add to your ?did it? list. Giant portions, every breakfast item you want to choose from. Rapid and attentive service, and youfeel like you are in a local ?one of a kind? place on the corner, better to walk to, but parking is around, just make sure youcan parallel park! Local diner featured on Triple D. It?s a bit out of the way from touristy spots, so you know that it really is a local gem. Came... here around noon and the line was long, but somehow we only waited for about 15 minutes. The staff will put your name down on alist along with your party size. Indoor dining only. Credit cards are now accepted. There?s one single occupant restroom by thekitchen. It?s a kid-friendly spot. Portions are huge, so you may considering sharing. The food was delicious. The clam chowderwas probably the best I?ve ever eaten in Boston, as there was some sort of thyme/rosemary hint in the soup that added some extranuance. We got the corned beef hash with our eggs over easy, home fries, and rye toast (pre-buttered). We also got the friedchicken dinner which came with your choice of two sides - we got green beans and fries. The fries were golden and the chickenwas super crispy. 100% recommend. Incredible service and a great setting for that authentic diner experience. The portions are ginormous. Just a... side portion of pancakes was enough for one person.
