The space is amazing. Birthday dinner. I loved the decor and the food. The only thing we didn't finish was the fufu gnocci...we... also ordered a lot... everyone working was wonderful and friendly. Mariel lives up to the hype. This incredibly gorgeous restaurant is located in the former Commonwealth Union Bank Association... Building. People don't make magnificent interiors like this anymore. The food and service impressed me. I had the brunchsandwich which filled me up. I was full and didn't have to order anything else. However, I wanted dessert and non-alcoholdrinks, and they were all fantastic. If I were to rate Mariel just on its bathrooms, it would be 5 stars for thethoughtfulness. There are 6 bathrooms, of which 4 are for Ladies, 1 is for Gentlemen, and 1 is for Ladies & Gentlemen. Thepeople who thought of this are brilliant. Super clean. The hostesses were very nice as well. Went here with a few friends birthday in a group setting on Sunday. The whole process was an experience I will never forget. The... food was amazing and done to perfection. Everything was presented perfectly ready for a picture. The only problem I had was, theBoston prices. It was absolutely crazy how expensive it was. We ordered 3 different cocktails for the group. They again werepretty but I didn't taste any alcohol in them at all. I don't drink much and I had 3 drinks because, I was not driving.... I had0 buzz when it was all said and done. I won't recommend the group drinks. You might have better drinks buying them individually.This is a place you go in your best dress up clothes to feel like a celebrity for the night. Absolutely stunning restaurant! The drinks were so good and very affordable. We were a little nervous when our waitress... suggested we order 3 plates per person because of how small they are, but we ended up ordering 2 each and were full by the end.Beware because it adds up quickly, but we did not have a single complaint about the food. Great place for drink and music . Fantastic vibe. Cocktails are well done. But food is really below avg for the price you pay.... This is my second time after long time (caused by pandemic) and the food the first time was definitely better and biggerquantity. Don’t take the pizza …. It is ridiculously small. All the small plates are very small and the “big plates” arenot that big. $80 for share steak full of giant potatoes and a very small steak ( not very good). Bottom line …. Go for drinksand vibe… but eat somewhere else. Read more
Beautiful place. Great experience. Fast service. Good drinks. Would return. Small sizes considering the cost but I honestly feel... it’s worth it just for the atmosphere alone and the good was great as well. My +1s don’t love Cuban food usually but it wasvery well done, high quality tapas-style food. If you like pickles, spicy cheese, mustard and/or ham; you absolutely need to gohere. Read more
