We have been eating at L'Osteria for years. We came to the North End on the Salem Ferry which cost $75.00. We went on Sunday... (Columbus day week end) and the weather was beautiful for our walk to Salem Street. When we arrived at L'Osteria and there were7 tables being served. After a few minutes a young girl asked how many in our party and she proceeded to get dinnerware and setthe table ( NO TABLE CLOTH) and when she was done we were seated at which time she poured us a glass of warm water. I asked herif she would add garlic, cheese and oregano to our olive oil when she brought it to our table. She said ask your waitress . Wesat there for 17 minutes and the waitresses never made eye contact or acknowledged that we were there. We got up to walk out andthe waitresses didn't seen to care that three diners walked out without being served. WOW!!!! We won't be back. But on flipside we tried Mother Anna's and loved their food (we all tried something different) and the staff was so professional andfriendly. We will we back to Mother Anna's. Good bye L'Osteria Read more

Outstanding food and friendly staff, and the air conditioning was a bonus on a hot day. We had a chicken Caesar (off menu),... chicken parmesan, chicken marsala and chicken morenga (?). One of the best meals of our lives. Read more

My group picked this place because it looked nice from the outside, and the inside surely didn?t disappoint! Everything was... absolutely phenomenal. I asked the waitress which veal dish was the best and she said the Veal Triestini. I asked her what wassecond best and she said the Veal Triestini. I asked her what was third best and she said the Veal Triestini. At first I waspuzzled by her unwavering goal of getting me to eat this veal, but she was super nice and I trusted her, so I ordered it. AndWOW was she right. Without exaggeration, it was one of my favorite Italian dishes of all time AND I?m not even a huge fan ofpink sauce. Everyone at my table was jealous of my meal. You need to get this veal when you go! You need to get this veal whenyou go! You need to get this veal when you go! Read more

Gilma, our waitress, was very accommodating, nice, Great attitude, and made us feel like royalty. The food is just amazingly... delicious, like gourmet home made!. The wine was exquisitely delicous, we had a wonderful time. We are from Florida, and we hadvisited 2 Italian restaurants and by far this is the best Italian restaurant!! Read more
