A fantastic Jamaican restaurant right next to Jackson Square. I often get the coconut chicken and it is absolutely delicious!... The rice and beans are cooked perfectly and go with the crispiness of the chicken really well. Read more

I was extremely happily surprised to find this place on Jackson Square in Jamaica Plain.I didn?t have high expectations for the... food but I was starving. To my delight the food was awesome. The service was very nice. I ordered several items and every singleone was delicious. I can clearly tell that it is not a premade food. It?s freshly made. With good ingredients. If you?re lookingfor the hearty, well prepared, tasty food, and variety this is your place. I am definitely coming back. Read more

Jamaica Mi Hungry is right across from the Jackson Square T station. The food came out very quickly and service was good. The... jerk pork was flavorful and filling. However, the mac and cheese was strangely a little watery and not very cheesy. Don?trecommend getting the Mac and cheese as it?s also an upgrade. Overall, Jamaica Mi Hungry is a good spot to try out if you?re inthe area Read more

I'm not an expert on Jamaican food, but I got the coconut shrimp and ox tails. Each came with 2 sides. The food was extremely... flavorful and the ox tails had a little kick. The dill slaw was delicious. My only beef, and the reason for 4 stars instead of5, is prob not really with the restaurant. I ordered thru Door Dash and was told my order would be ready in a little over anhour. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't super hot and actually seemed as though it had been under the heat lamps the majorityof that hr. Next time I'll just walk in and order. Read more

This was my first time here, I saw the restaurant in passing and decided to try it. Walked in asked the cashier how ordering... worked, unfortunately he said he also didn't know so I ordered coconut chicken with two sides as the menu suggested for themeal. The suggested retail price was $15 but they don't tell you, you also get charged for the two sides for a total of $19,second red flag. I waited roughly 10-13 mins for my meal, thinking "oh this is going to be great, fresh hot food and plentiful".To my chagrin, when I got the meal home I was disappointed. To be met with four small extremely overcooked coconut chickentenders and two smallish sides, waited over 10 mins for the complete meal and paid a steep price for it; needless to say I won'treturn there which is unfortunate because the place has great potential. The upside, the plantains and the curry vegetable stewwas delicious albeit, warm, not hot. Read more

The rice and beans has no taste, Brussel sprouts taste burnt but it?s not terrible just No flavor. The Mac & cheese is... terrible- the noodles are over cooked it taste like cardboard. The coconut shrimp is the only good thing. (That I tried) But 5shrimp only ? I spent $26.56 I?m so disappointed. I also asked for sauce on my rice didn?t get any. Wish I tasted my foodwhile I was there bc I would have brought it back. Oh and customer service is not the best, I was ordering and I?m not sure ifshe zoned out but, she replied with ?what? They were talking bad about 2 other customers for no reason. I hate to give anegative review but I DO NOT recommend going here. Read more

I stumbled on this Jamaican restaurant. When 8 stepped in to the place, I just love the deco; Super trendy and clean look. The... place has sufficient indoor seating. Very clean and friendly family run restaurant. Food is awesome and great value! We orderedJerk pull pork, goat curry, and coconut shrimp. It was delicious and good value. They have a good variety of side selectionssuch as fried plantain, grilled corn, rice and bean and etc. I love the fact that they have vegetarian curry options for ourveggie friends. I will definitely stop by again.. if I am craving for Jamaican food! Read more
