Reviews for Irashai Sushi in Boston, MA
We went here on an impromptu rainy Thursday night. Never having gone before, but wanted to get some sushi with my fiancée after... work. Luckily we found this restaurant a short walk away. The food was quick when we ordered, and it tastes very fresh. I'mhappy with our meals. I got the Oishii Maki roll and a spicy krav roll (pictured below), and we also got a fried gyoza to share. All of them were fresh and delish. The Oishii Maki is the one with rice paper, it was not a powerful tasting roll, but veryinoffensive and would be perfect to share with someone who is newer to sushi. My fiancée got 2 other rolls, one was a tempuraand very tasty, definitely the favorite of the night. The atmosphere was a bit stand-off-ish, maybe just because it was a dismalrainy night, and they crew was cleaning the whole time. But the waitress was attentive and polite. And on the way out one of thecooks even opened the door for us. I would definitely dine here again or get takeout and try more sushi plates. Read more
Great place to get some quality affordable sushi. They have good lunch combos and they're consistent with their food and... service. It's a bit small aside from two larger tables so I wouldn't come with a big group. They do takeout very efficiently soyou won't have to wait too long and I've never had any errors in my orders. The most delicious food I had in all of Boston. Hands down, this food was mouth-watering and the vibe of the restaurant was so... chill. Definitely worth the price. High quality food. Chicken soft enough I could eat comfortably with my braces. The curryknocked my socks off ???? the veges in the curry melted in my mouth & the rice was nice & fluffy. I cannot recommend thisrestaurant enough. The eel avocado roll was full of refreshing flavor. The staff was friendly and very helpful. If you have abig group, try to get the corner table near the entrance, as it probably fits up to 15 people. Read more
Highly recommend- small, cozy restaurant. The service is great and quick, the lunch special prices are amazing with mid- size... food portions. I've order over 10X from them and the food is always fresh. I love their fried shumai, vegetable tempura andshrimp teriyaki. Read more
Great sushi place in Chinatown Boston! First time visit and was not disappointed! Great selection of both signature and... traditional rolls! Would definitely recommend the Celtic Roll from their signature line (the green wrapped roll). Service wasgreat and prices were comparable to most other sushi places. Very somber setting! A nice little escape from the street noise! Anice quiet place to enjoy some very good Japanese cuisine! Definitely would recommend!! Read more

The salad and miso was a sad addition to the meal but the sushi was impressive. The quality of the ingredients tasted fresh and the price was reasonable for good quality sushi. Staff was friendly. Convenient, fast, and delicious food. I have ordered from Irashai many times, and they do not disappoint. Chicken teriyaki meals... are great and the sushi is very good. Here is a review of my last order. 1) Chicken Teriyaki (5/5) - relatively inexpensive andfilling. Good chicken quality with rice and miso soup. 2) Gyoza (4/5) - A basic gyoza done well. Tasty and goes well withsauce. Try coming in for the lunch specials, which are a great deal and are quite tasty. Read more
A pleasant surprise!! We arrived here because my son wanted to try the foods here. He said it had a very good rating. I was... reluctant. The restaurant looked much like any random Asian restaurant nothing flashy. We decided to try the food and were veryglad we did! The food was very well prepared and very delicious!!! The waitress was very nice and had us seated immediately. Theorders were brought out within a short time. A small bowl of Miso Soup and a small salad were first. Everyone gets this as itsstandard. We had Pork Katsu, Chicken Katsu, Spicy Scallop Maki, Chicken And Ramen in Miso Soup, Fried Pork and Ramen in SpicySoup, and assortment of Maki, Shumai, Gyoza,. All were very well made!! This place was I guess a diamond in the rough!!! Do notjudge this book by its cover, and try it out!! You will be very glad!!! Update as of 10/9/2022 Irashai is as good as ever!! Read more
