Made reservations for 2 on a Wednesday night at 5:15pm, right after they open. There was 1 other table sat when my boyfriend and... I arrived. They sat us by the entrance in a tight area next to the computer the servers use to put in orders. Before we orderedanything we asked if we could move to a different table because they kept bumping into my boyfriend’s chair. The host told usthey were fully booked for the night and could not move us. There were other 2 tops available so that reply and the host’stone really annoyed us. We decided to stay and ordered 8 different tapas and 2 desserts. The tapas were good. We’ve had better(both in Spain and here in Boston). The food was not good enough to make us go back. Especially since more than half therestaurant was empty the entire time and we were there for almost 2 hours. Don’t understand why we couldn’t move when therewere plenty of other open tables. Pretty chill, quiet place even on a weekend, but good food and drinks! My favorite was the arugula baked goat cheese salad. I... would have liked if the Patatas bravas had the crema in addition to the spicy sauce. Sangria pitcher was fun too! Love the setting and the options. Location is great with lots of available street parking around the restaurant. The service was... awesome esp the way our server guided us on the portion size and how many we (We were a group of 7) should order and how earlyfor a few dish like for paella it takes around 20-25 mins to come after the order is placed. The sangria was really good and 2of my friends mentioned it reminded of the ones they had in Barcelona. As for the food, we order most of the small plates andall the items tasted great. Estragon has been my favorite restaurant in Boston for a long time: authentic & delicious Spanish food, modern & elegant... atmosphere, wonderful staff! I'm writing this review specifically because Estragon recently hosted our wedding reception, and itwas better than we ever could have imagined! We'd been planning with Lara and Julio throughout the pandemic, but they made it SOeasy: they helped us design a delicious menu of diverse tapas that our guests could not stop raving about, guided us throughplanning our timeline for the evening, and set everything up for us to have a beautiful evening in their chic restaurant withtheir friendly staff team. Anything we asked for, they happily accommodated and offered suggestions to make our vision evenbetter. Another amazing Google maps find. Plenty of street parking without having to pay after 18:00 during the week. My wife is a... vegetarian and really enjoyed her selections. I enjoyed my meat-based tapas. We also had delicious adult beverages. The servicewas great and our server Brian has been with Estragon Tapas from day #1, 13 years ago. I tried Estragon yesterday evening for dinner! My friends and I had an assortment of tapas: Patatas Bravas (potatoes with... salsa), Esparragos Con Romesco (grilled asparagus), Empanadlas de Verduras (spinach and artichoke turnovers), Pulpo La Gallega(grilled octopus), Pincho de Pollo (chicken skewers), and the croquetas de jamon! We also had a pitcher of the hibiscusmargarita. My favorites were the octopus which was grilled nicely, potatoes which were perfectly crispy with a generous drizzleof the salsa sauce , and chicken skewers which tasted great with a squeeze of lemon juice.
