The drinks are very good. They pour them strong. Really liked the Asian Mule and the Litty boba drink. The elote fried rice was... very tasty Veggie dumplings taste excellent and are fried to perfection. I dont know if they make them in house but I feel likethey might. Crunchy Ramen Salad is so tasty! Love the flavors. Wasnt a huge fan of the soju roulette, there were a coupleflavors in there that no one at the table could stomach. Taro and spam fries are solid. Very tasty One thing ive notice thelast two times ive come here is that it sometimes smells like dirty dish water to me but Im not sure if thats just my nose. AlsoI used to like the mac and cheese dish but the last time i got it, idk if it was the smell altering my perception but it tastedkinda like it too. Overall really like this place! And theyre open so late theyre great for after going out. Read more

After a second visit, unfortunately I have to revise the rating down due to disappointing tasting of their four dishes I ordered... this time. Peanut butter tofu was just way too sweet, kimchi fried rice (the sunny side egg was pre-made, hard and cold, ricewas filled with chill oil, cheesy Korean rice cake was very bland, everything was thrown together, and the worst one, sirachahoney chicken was just sweet and sour chicken without the siracha flavor. Love the idea of being fusion, but it?s got plenty ofroom to improve. A so-so 3.5???? (too bad Google doesn?t have half point stars). Walked by many times but never had the urgeto step in until this time. Perhaps the name or the menu looked too unconventional for those looking for Chinese cuisine, simplynot ?authentic? like Dumpling House or Lee?s seafood. I had to admit my inherent biases after the visit. Owned by the two Chinsisters (hence the name Double Chin) who shared their deep passion for Chinese cuisines, they wanted to created something uniqueyet preserving the Chinese cuisine?s identity. Double Chin?s menu was simple and many items can be found in many Asia-fusionrestaurants, however, their specialty menu page was what caught my eye. To be honest, it is a daring act to create a fusionmenu when it is Chinese + something due to the dominating flavors demanded by Chinese style cooking. So I gave them a 5 ???? fortaking on the daring act. We ordered two recommended items from the specialty menu, the Corn Elote Skillet Rice, mixing limespice used in preparing corns among Mexican street vendors and melted cheese with fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised by therefreshing taste from the lime spice and the taste of fried rice on a skillet. The other item was Hong Kong hot chicken KatsuBoluobao-wich, the easiest way to describe this is basically chick-fil-a + Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich on steroids. Coveredby the Hong Kong style sweet tasting Boluobao buns (one of my favorite pastries), the deep Read more

I joined in the laughter when my local friends made fun of the restaurant's name because of its literal meaning in Japanese,... ignoring everything else about it until their recommendation that I dine here if I'm in Boston's Chinatown. We made the decisionto dine there because I was in Chinatown in Boston and was starving. My laughter stopped when I was reminded of what wasactually served there, and I started to take it seriously because they presented food from my ancestry with an emphasis on itspresentation being on par with its flavour! (??)???, or a baked pork chop atop fried rice [baked?] with sweet tomato sauce overit all was the very dish that warmed my Hongkonger heart as that is my all-time favourite lunchtime food that I could probablyeat so many days in a row and not get bored of it! There is no question that the chef in the kitchen is of Hong Kong ancestry, and I could tell that he is creating this from the heart. The restaurant's décor definitely has a Hong Kong cafe vibe to it,albeit perhaps having a younger appearance than one might have anticipated. Neither is it overly chaotic or boisterous. It was afantastic setting for having many chats and enjoying delicious cuisine. There was a great deal of attentiveness, friendliness, and no issues with the staff. The location was tidy and well-kept. In conclusion, even though Boston certainly has morerestaurants that are distinctive to it than I could have selected, I feel that this restaurant answered the call of my Hong Kongspirit in culinary form for more than two years. I would not have chosen any other location for lunch. The prices werereasonable, the staff were friendly, and the meal was excellent and authentic. In the end, it made me and my friends feel happy. This is a must-stop restaurant in Boston's Chinatown, in my opinion! Read more

Creative menu for Chinatown in a modern, updated setting. Seems a little out of place for Boston Chinatown, but not in a bad... way. Didn?t try any of the sandwich or fries, but the ice dessert was perfect for a hot day. Singapore noodle also good. Read more
