The worst gelato I have had in my life. It doesn?t even deserve to be called gelato, since it is a low-quality product full of... air (unlike real Italian gelato, which is made with quality ingredients and low overrun). The owners/staff may be Italian butthis place is an embarrassing scam. Also CASH only, and $6 for a small serving of stracciatella made with cheap watered-downmilk and garbage chocolate (added a bit of texture but no flavor). Perfect spot right on Hanover and no line. They offer a walk up counter for the tastiest gelato and a small dine in very retro... homey type sitting area for the cannoli and coffee/expresso/liquer if desired. Cannoli was dipped in chocolate and they were notshy with stuffing them with the choc chip ricotta filling my son and I shared that and he ordered some lemon gelato which heloved! The ricotta filling in my cannolis was nice and creamy but strangely lackluster in flavor...had to describe what exactly was... missing, but I felt a little unsatisfied in the end. Not quite worth the cost. But hey, it is sweet cheese inside fried dough,so how bad could it ever be? Read more
We were visiting North End and walked inside ?Dolce?. We tried margherita pizza and sausage+potatoes pizza, they were both good.... We also had 1 espresso and an Italian Croissant, we were satisfied by the taste. We haven?t tried the gelato so i am not sureabout that. Nice spot for a quick bite. Read more
love this spot. cash only tho. the old guy (must be the owner or manager) is really working hard and kind too. try double... espresso with only 3 bucks. you can also sit down inside when weary for crowd and travelers. Read more
