Beautiful view and beautiful service! Beautifully decorated from the moment you step onto the elevator until the moment you step... off at the elevator. All around a beautifully designed and well thought out restaurant. The menu was very simple, expensive andfresh ingredients are used. French toast is made from scratch, pesto omelette is something that the taste buds must have. Read more

We went for Birthday Brunch, and were pleasantly surprised. I easily made our reservations online a couple of weeks prior. The... staff was so friendly, and the food was delicious. Definitely check out the menu before you go if this isn't your typical styleof restaurant. All around a wonderful experience. Read more

Notorious for its bad service, Contessa is probably one of the most controversial places in Boston to dine in. I was initially... hesitant to make a reservation, but decided to give them a try for brunch. We expected the restaurant to be packed, but therewere quite a few tables that were empty around 10am on Sunday. It seemed like the place was already going downhill, yet I wasrelieved to find out that their service was better than I expected. While we weren?t particularly impressed with their service,we enjoyed everything we ordered. Both the squash carpaccio and the daily imported burrata were extremely flavorful. Stuffedwith prosciutto, cheese, and truffle spray, the focaccine was an excellent bite for the brunch cocktails. My favorite was thespicy lobster capellini which had a thick and subtly spicy sauce that beautifully integrated into the pasta. Overall, Contessais a great place to enjoy amazing food in a hotel lounge vibe. However, if you don?t want to be disappointed, I would recommendkeeping your expectations for the service low. There?s a reason you need to get a reservation for this place weeks in advance (and even then you might be eating at like 10pm... like us last night) the food is incredible but the atmosphere is electric. They just redid the whole top floor of what used tobe The TAJ over the last two years and this restaurant is the culmination of that work. The sweeping views of The Boston Commonand city skyline are top notch. If you think you?ll just stop in for a drink at the bar, good luck. It?s usually packed. Butthere is a great back up on the ground floor if you do want to give it a shot. Read more

The space is wonderful, a rooftop with great views of the city and the public garden. The food was perfectly prepared and the... restaurant had a wonderful and extensive wine list - always a plus. Service was lacking a bit, but overall everyone was verynice. Read more

Great view, it feels like ur in London, Good experience its worth it, but keep in mind that its hard to book for Contessa. You... have to book in advance. Also, for this nice place and in a 5 star hotel the restroom should be much cleaner unfortunately itwasn?t, it was a disaster. Food was okay we loved some dishes and others were just okay and overrated. Staff?? Cleanliness ?? Ambience ??/?? (Extremely loud couldn?t here my partner) Read more

After reading reviews we weren't sure what to expect but we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Contessa. The food was delicious, the... cocktails were creative and the staff was exceptional! Its certainly on the pricey side but that's to be expected given it'slocation and view. We will be back! Read more

One of the best looking restaurants I?ve seen in a long time. So beautiful that it almost distracts from the incredible view.... Innovative cocktails and elevated Italian cuisine combined with a throw back to more formal but friendly service have made thisone of my favorites. Read more
