I had an amazing experience at Cafe Sauvage! The food and drinks were simply amazing. I had the Nutella crepes and was... pleasantly surprised as they were very authentic and tasty (and I am from France). The waiters are very friendly and make sureeveryone is seated promptly despite the fact that the restaurant is on the smaller side and tends to be popular on theweekends. If you're looking for a great brunch experience in Boston at an affordable price, look no further! Read more

I'd passed by this place many times, unsure whether this was a counter-service kind of cafe, or a sit-down cafe. Finally read... the reviews and decided to come for a quick breakfast on a Tuesday morning around 8:15am. We were asked if we wanted a table, and since we were the only ones there, we got to choose whichever one we wanted. Within the next half hour, a few people came into get drinks to-go. I ordered an iced rose latte with oat milk, and an almond chocolate croissant. I really enjoyed the latte,as it had a nice floral taste without being overwhelming. The croissant was also good, but I think next time I'll just get thealmond croissant without chocolate. The service was quick, but we never felt rushed. The space is beautiful, with lush greeneryall around. I'd definitely come back for breakfast, or also brunch with girl friends. Read more

We visited this black owned establishment on Saturday, July 30, 2022. I made a reservation prior to online for 7:30 PM. Upon... arrival parking is a bit difficult, but we did find street parking for free. Once we arrived to the restaurant there was abeautiful outdoor patio vibe. This patio reminded me of the outdoor dining seating I’ve seen in Paris. We were greeted by thehost who stated we could sit anywhere we wanted. The restaurant was clean, modern, had a mellow café type of ambience, andbeautiful jungle decor. The owners named the place Café Sauvage which means wild in French. We decided to sit at a lovely tableby the entrance and our waitress came over quickly. The waitress’s name was Lisa and she informed us that the QR code menu onthe table would provide the menu options. We did notice it was a bit warm in this restaurant temperature wise. Lisa the waitressturned out to be pretty disappointing since the service she provided was mediocre. When I asked her about specific menu items, she really didn’t have any clue and it was very unhelpful. We ordered the following menu items: lamb meatballs, hibiscusmargarita, coffee, crispy zucchini, French onion soup, bissap, château rouge, shrimp cavatelli pasta, and grapefruitmillefeuille. We received our beverages shortly after ordering. The hibiscus margarita had a rich hibiscus flavor and a nicesweet tone. My mother‘s coffee was not fresh and when she added cream it turned lukewarm. She brought this to Lisa’sattention and she poured more lukewarm coffee over it. Lisa really didn’t check on us at all. I will say the owner Antoinereally saved the night. He came to us and he offered to brew her an Americano which was fresh. He brought the coffee right tothe table and my mother greatly enjoyed it because it was nice and hot. Shortly after this, I received my French onion soup andmy mother received her crispy zucchini. The French onion soup was simply delicious. It had perfect cheese toast on top and asemi dense Read more

Came here on a late Saturday’s afternoon. We really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and the foods. The croissant sandwich has... flaky crust, the perfectly melted cheese on top of the scrambled eggs. It also comes with a side salad. My boyfriend also likedthe crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Read more

I loved it! Could be my favorite restaurant in Boston. The injera crepe was delicious and so creative. The sweet crepe is... definitely the best I’ve had in Boston. Wonderful service. So happy to know that they exist. Can’t wait to go back! Read more

Sometimes I find a place I don't want to review, because it's such a gem that I'm afraid if everybody knows about it I'll never... be able to get in again. This french cafe, very small, but filled to the brim with delicious food fits the bill. I tried theonion soup... Not something I'm normally super fond of but I wanted something warm. It was the best french onion soup I've everhad. Super cheesy, extremely flavorful, the bread somehow toasty even when soaked. The workers are all speaking french to oneanother, and everyone around me was raving about the food. I can't wait to try some of the other items (avocado toast seemedquite popular) The 45 minute run to get there was worth every bead of sweat. Next time I deserve a croissant. Read more
