Sushi gen is one of the best sushi restaurants in bossier, Shreveport area. I am a regular and I have always loved their food... and service, however I have noticed that many young people go there and do not tip. For people who do not know servers make 0$an hour. That 2$ An hour all goes to taxes, if u can?t tip don?t eat!!! if you complain about tipping do not get upset whenrestaurant food prices go up so that they can pay their staff. I see a lot of young kids come into sushi gen and I feel bad forthe servers because of how they are treated. I was once a server myself so that?s why I feel so strongly about this. This is asmall town and a small restaurant, it?s sad to see these servers who have been with this restaurant still have to deal withthese little kids and sometimes grown adults who simply do not tip. Was visiting Shreveport for the weekend and ran across this place. At first I was a little skeptical because of the location.... Living near Baton Rouge, the sushi restaurants have a different look. The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. Our waiterwas so friendly. We actually took a family member to try sushi for the first time. He suggested different things on the menu forher to try.
