I think this is the best barbecue in town. Love the smoked turkey and the brisket.
I've Always enjoyed eating here, today not so much. Called in a order to pick up, got back to work and the botator I got looked... like it was from 3 days ago. Was burnt hardly any toppings and I swear the bbq sauce looked like I got someone's leftover saucethey didn't use all of.. was not even a 1/4 of sauce in the already small container they give you. I was not happy at all the BBQ had no flavor and was dry. The sausage was not good at all, no flavor. The baked potato tasted... like it was reheated. We got the 3 meat plate and the botato and it all came out luke warm. They forgot our ribs and when theycame out they were not hot at all.The cashier was not helpful or friendly at all. Not worth the hour drive to have BBQ. Will NOTbe back! Read more
Ribs were burnt and Luke warm. Brisket was extremely dry no flavor the only thing that was okay was the potato and even it was... over cooked the girl up front was kinda rude said that the sausage was the best.... Nasty oilly and not even smoked. We asked ifthe sausage was homemade. Nope!It came out so fast I felt like I was at a fast food place or even worse that it was warmed up inthe microwave. The tea tasted like coffee. The red beans and rice were definitely way over cooked. Will not be returning. Read more
Hands down best BBQ in this side of Louisana. The meat just fell off the bone of ribs and chicken. Okra was fresh. Red bean and... rice was ok but I wasn?t here for sides and that was a last min decision. Cookie was homemade.Will definitely come back. Read more
The first time coming here was 10/10. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked/not dry, flavors were great. A very causal place... to get GOOD southern food. I got literally everything. Ribs, chicken, sausage, brisket, fried okra, mashed potatoes, greenbeans. Friend okra was the best. Brisket and sausage were tied for second. They were unfortunately out of Mac and cheese. Thisplace was SO good, that I came back 3 days later with a few friends. Not sure what happened, but it was just not the same.Possibly a different cook? But the ribs were not fall off the bone, brisket was dry, potato salad was below average, out ofmashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. So when it's good, it's GOOD. When it's bad, it's BAD. Read more
The BBQ here is very good and cooked to perfection. I got the You Won't Leave Hungry combo and added some sliced brisket to it... so I could try most of the different meats. I like the fact that the sauce is served on the side so you can control how much youwant. I am usually not a fan of BBQ dripping in sauce. I want to taste the meat. The portions are generous, and the prices aregood. I recommend putting Bodacious BBQ on your list of places to try. Read more
Great experience with an old school vibe on Barksdale Blvd. The ribs were excellent with many layers of flavor and the brisket... was delicious. So many places, the brisket is shoe leather but not here. Colleagues had the spicy sausage and said it wasexcellent as well and not overly spicy. Very very friendly staff and just an overall win.
