There were 4 of us. 2 ordered prime rib, 1 shrimp scampi and the other salmon. My prime rib was so tough could barely cut it... much less chew it. All plates of food were delivered to the table COLD and had to be returned to reheat. Med rare prime rib cameback well done and missing the yorkshire pudding. Waited so long for our entre went to the kitchen to ask about where it was..we decided to skip dessert paid the check and left. Will choose another restaurant next time. Read more

Andrew gave us excellent service at the relaxing mid-century bar. Pre-fixe dinner was reasonable, delicious and very filling!

Elegant dining in Borrego Springs I decided on the Coyote Steakhouse for a nice dinner on my last night in town. The restaurant... is located in The Palms at Indian Head, a charming mid-century modern hotel that is worth a look. Dining in the time of Covid ison a patio overlooking the desert with tables spaced appropriately. The service was attentive and on point. The cocktail menuhad several tempting options and I went with the Cosmo which was delicious. They feature a prix fixe menu that looks both tastyand reasonably priced, but I chose to go a la carte as I had a hankering for rack of lamb. The entree was preceded by a smallgreen salad that was fresh and cold! The lamb was done perfectly medium rare accompanied by mashed potatoes and steamedvegetables. The sauce for the lamb was tasty, if somewhat unimaginative, and the mint jelly was a bit of a dated garnish. Theice cream rolled in coconut on top of hot fudge was a spectacular finish to a delicious meal. My server Ramon providedattentive and friendly service. Highly recommended for a nice dinner in the desert! Read more

Incredible service!!! Incredible food!! Prix fix menu of 3 entrees for $27. So worth it! Manuel, the chef made the most... delightful steak. Juicy, tender, flavorful and a crispy top coat in the mushroom poutine. The servers, Tony and Ramon were sopatient and helpful. The heater was broken and they tried on multiple attempts with many team members. Superb experience. I willbe back! Worth the 4 hour drive! Read more
