Laura makes the best pastries EVER! I have been following Farm23 on social media since before they opened and I?m SOO glad I... did.(I?m just so upset at myself for taking so long to write a WELL overdue review) This is hands down the BEST bakery I haveEVER been to! (and being from Long Island, NY I have been to A LOT of bakeries.) My wife and I have been a customer of Farm23since it opened! Every year we have to visit multiple times for breakfast. We love to get the Fruit Danishes (our favorite) andcoffee then go to Ocean Point (or any other of the beautiful places in Boothbay Harbor) to eat and enjoy the views. Since ourbirthdays happen to fall in the dates we visit we love to get our Bday cakes from Farm23. They all have been so delicious! Laurais amazing and can make just about any cake you want! Their service is always great! Josh makes sure you are attended to and hasgreat suggestions for amazin? places to eat around town or things to do! Oh. My. Goodness. These folks are blessed with some god-like baking skills. I just ate the "still warm" sticky bun, the warm... sausage/egg/cheese croissant and the bacon/egg/cheese croissant, along with the cheese danish and a berry scone (shared them allwith my wife and kids) and I'm 100% blown away. Had to write this review. The sausage in the breakfast sandwich was insanelytasty and the mix of meat/croissant was perfect. The sticky bun was out-of-this-world. Perfection as far as I'm concerned. Not undercooked, but sooo dense, like a warm, sweet/cinamonny mouthful of the center of a popover. Dang. Read more
Loved all the baked goods. I will have to try the blueberry bars next time. I also like those coconut candles.
We had a brownie with vanilla butter cream and a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. We heard other customers in the shop heap... praise on the pastries. Our takeaway is that your bakery is a gem. Just out of this world. And if I may, we noted a complaintonline about a brownie with raspberry butter cream. I want one! Only a master pastry chef would undertake such deliciousness. Read more
We got so many baked goods, it was kind of ridiculous. To be fair everything looked good and it also tasted really good. We... mostly got cookies and pastries, but I also got a bagel and drinks. We looked into this place because our hotel served theirbread for breakfast and it was INCREDIBLE. I ordered my wedding cake from Farm 23, and it was absolutely fabulous! I was planning my wedding from far away, so I shared my... ideas for the cake with Laura over email and hoped for the best. They made the exact cake I had been envisioning, and it tastedeven better than it looked! The whoopie pies were delicious also! I can't recommend Farm 23 highly enough. I am already wantingto plan a trip back to BBH just to order another cake from Farm 23! Read more
I can't adequately express how much we all loved the cakes! All three were perfect and delicious. Laura is so very talented... and does beautiful work with professionalism. She is prompt to return messages, and I didn't have to "lift a finger" for thecake delivery and set-up. All the family appreciate you and your wonderful artistry! An all-around great experience! I am sorry to leave this bad review because the food at this bakery isn?t bad but this place does not have friendly bakery... vibes. The folks behind the counter were very short with us. How you treat your customers and human beings in general is veryimportant especially when we were were being so sweet and kind to you. I know you may be overwhelmed with all of the businessyou are getting from wedding orders but please remember to treat all the way you would like to be treated. We aren?t cattle tobe herded through.
