I tried to order cookies for my friend since I?m not in Boone right now and get a call from the delivery driver asking for help... to find the apartment. As stated I?m not in Boone and haven?t been the place my friend was. I tell the driver that I?ll give hisnumber to my friend so she can help him find the apartment and I think it?s all taken care of. I later get a text saying thatthe cookies weren?t delivered so I text my friend later to ask what happened as I was at work. She tells me that the driver wasrude and yelled at her then told her that it was a waste of time. And I get it being frustrating trying to get a job done asboth my friend and I work in the service industry. But the way my friend was treated is unacceptable since she was trying to donothing but help him find the apartment. Read more

We ordered right before closing time and they were out a couple options we wanted. Ordered 6 cookies and one bottle of milk.... When Ethan showed up with our ordered he surprised us with an assortment of 12 cookies and two bottles of milk since they wereout of what we wanted and took a while to deliver. Not a fan! The staff is rude and condescending. Somehow it was our problem that we didn't already know what was out of stock... without asking. No signs to tell you, you just had to ask, and with exasperated eyerolls we were led to buy the bare minumum ofwhat they had left hours before closing as though we were the jerks for having come in to order something. Sorry, won't makethat mistake again, and we've lived here for twenty years year round. Next time, hands down, Appalachia Cookie Co. The three employees were very hostile. I walked in and forgot my mask. But none of the employees had one on. I get it there is... a mask mandate I went and got my mask. Never was rude. Still bought cookies, which the cookies were definitely great. I?d givethem a 7.7 which is a solid cookie. But to the three employees working at this store. They are a liability to this store. Theyare rude and honestly if they talked to someone that way as a server they would not receive a tip. It?s unfortunate these threekids do not understand customer service and need a lesson in sales and respect. If it were my store after reading reviews Iwould fire them. But the cookies. My stepdaughter and I were on our way back from a long drive from South Carolina, and we really wanted a dessert. But, we were... asking ourselves where could we get some sweets so late on a Sunday? Insomnia Cookies, of course. I have to be honest, it wasgreat being able to buy warm, delicious cookies at that time of night, and they were soooooo good. Not that expensive, just 2dollars per cookie which isn't bad but it might feel like it if you're on a budget. However, when we were waited on, it feltlike we were being rushed. We'd never been there before, and that didn't seem to matter. Whoever the girl was behind the counterseemed very adamant that we hurry up, order our cookies and leave as quickly as possible. We were the only customers. I try tobe understanding, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but I doubt I'll be doing business here anymore if the staff is thatstandoffish again. Read more
WOW! This place is amazing. The cookies are delicious and the options are great. I had a cookie'wich with white chocolate... macadamia nut on the top and peanutbutter chip on the bottom, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in between. What an incredibletreat. The woman working the counter was quick and helpful. The prices are a little high, (the math doesn't quite work out forhow they priced the cookie'wiches) but oh well, it's ok, it's a "treat" for a reason. Read more
Tried twice last night to order a delivery, the first one (presumably stolen) delivered was just the milk and nothing else.... After being unable to get my order resent (Doordash customer service assured me that the restaurant would handle redelivery)Iplaced a second order, never delivered. The order was set as complete the second it left the store.Please either update thecustomer via a text or knock or phone call when delivering to apartments. I spent 2.5 hours and 60$ last night expecting cookiesand all I got was one single serving of milk. *EDIT* -doordash refunded my second order, still trying to contact insomnia forthe original orders refund and it?s a nightmare.
