From outside the place looks great, when you enter in the main dining area, even it?s half empty they took us somewhere down at... the end of the restaurant and offered us a table with 10 flies at least? And when I complain about it the guy simply said openthe window and they will go away, I showed him dead flies on the window and they finally gave us the table next to it with lessflies, the food was average and if you want to dine with flies it?s a place to go for you, I am definitely not happy, Read more
Had a wonderful lunch at Tavern on the Lake. Great service and excellent food. Reasonable prices also. Views of the lake are... unbeatable. We had a rental boat and were able to pull up to their dock. Fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend! Read more
It?s mid summer, sunny day on the lake. 8/13/21, 87° beautiful sunny day and then picture this... You go to a lake side... restaurant to enjoy the food and view. Only, the hostess won?t sit you on the patio because it?s too hot. Even though we don?tmind, they won?t sit us outside on the 7 open tables overlooking the lake, they sit us inside in a sweltering corner room withno air conditioning. Really enjoy this place and it?s gorgeous and usually great food and drinks but this was extremely offputting!! Read more
That?s the view when you sit outside. We just showed up while driving south on 9N, and we got hungry. Obviously, the place is... always crowded with a view like that. They do take reservations. I highly recommend reserving a table before showing up. Thestaff is incredible and made it work for us. Beautiful spot. My daughter really enjoyed the nachos. My husband and I relaxed andenjoyed the view. We did not find another restaurant open with a view like that along 9N. Read more
This place is all about the view! It is spectacular. We started with a special appetizer of chili cheese fries, they were... amazing. Then the entrees. I got fried fish and my husband got a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. My fish was two paltry filetsthat were most definitely frozen before it got to my plate. It was more like Gortons from freezer section at the grocery storethan anything resembling fresh fish. Highly disappointing. My husband loved his chicken sandwich, said it was fresh anddelicious. I guess I just ordered poorly. The view is still worth it. Staff was moderately attentive. Parking situation istough. We parked at the entrance and walked down. Read more
