We enjoy coming here and even drive 20-30minutes. The food is always great and worth the drive. Usually we get breakfast/lunch... for dinner as our weekend thing every once in a while. The quintessential IHOP experience can be encapsulated within one menu item: the pancake. Around two weeks ago, my associates... and I have traveled to IHOP to consume the one true menu item. The outside was spectacularly tidy and squeaky clean, leaving nodoubts that the food served would be delectable. When we stepped inside the building, the word astounded does not even begin todescribe how we felt and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. Sitting down, we glanced at the menu but inreality, we all knew what we came here for. Now, this was during the special Minions Menu Promotion, in which their normal menuitems (Pancakes, etc.) were jazzed up and elevated with special ingredients like bananas and sprinkles. Of course, being thedistinguished IHOP travelers that we were, we ordered the Ba-Ba-Banana Pudding Pancakes, excited at the promise of a sweettreat. Our service was outstanding, by no means average, and we recieved our food knowing that it was cared for attentively bythe chefs in the back as well as our waitress. With a grin, she delivered us the pancakes and we were on our way to the bestpancake experience anyone had ever experienced. I forgot to mention, my acquaintance had ordered the Ba-Ba-Banana Milkshake, andwe were shaking in our boots with excitement. Biting into the minion pancakes, we could see why IHOP was renowned as the chiefpancake maker, and the International House of Pancakes. The pancakes were cooked to perfection and the toppings were placed sodelicately that we were afraid to move them. I do not wish to describe our food any more, because the secrets of IHOP can onlytruly be discovered when one makes the treacherous journey to their closest location. Please, venture outside to IHOP and trythe pancakes there, even if the minions menu is long gone. Don?t waste your time. Took fifteen minutes to be seated because every single staff member was in the back. Then my meal was... prepared with ingredients that aren?t part of the meal and with bacon when requested it be omitted. Pancakes came not correctand then once I requested a new meal that was correct I was given an attitude. Drinks were never refilled. You don?t go to ihopfor a Michelin experience but at the very least there are bare minimum expectations. Read more
Delicious food! Everything came out hot and fresh, only slight complaint is some of the cheese on my omelette wasn't totally... melted but that's a nit picky complaint. Read more

There was a lot of food. It was tasty. The manager came to check to see if we were satisfied. However the music was WAY too... loud. The food was really good. The service was good. Our server was really nice. On top of things. I think now a days you payway too much money for food. They should have specials. Also the server told us that she rarely gets a break. Illinois lawstates "If you work at least 7½ hours a day, it entitles you to a 20 minute meal period. That meal period must begin ?no laterthan 5 hours after the start of the work period.? I don't condone any place that doesn't allow their employees to take breaks.I actually want to report them to Il labor. Read more
